Darts star Luke Littler has turned to a new sport as he showed what new video game he is playing in an update on Instagram.
The 18-year-old, an avid gamer, regularly spends time plays on console games when he is not competing at the oche.
He even spent his 18th birthday earlier this year live-streaming while playing EA FC 25.
However, it is a newly released sports title that has captured Littler’s attention, as he showed what game he was playing in photos posted on his Instagram story.
What game was Luke Littler playing in photos shared on Instagram?
Luke Littler was spotted playing the new Rugby League 26 video game in photos shared on his Instagram stories.
It makes him one of the first people to play on the game which was only released on July 17th.
The game is available on Playstation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbob Series X/S and PC via Steam.
Littler’s first photo showed an error screen with the message: “The primary user has been signed out. You have been returned to the title screen.” He humorously captioned it: “Any chance here ref?”
He later confirmed the issue had been resolved, posting another screenshot with the caption: “Now we are talking,” showing himself about to start a new career mode in the game.
The darts star is a passionate supporter of the Warrington Wolves rugby league team.
Warrington Wolves temporarily renamed their stadium to the “Luke Littler Stadium” back in February.
Luke Littler’s presence in the gaming community
Luke Littler and his love of gaming is well documented.
Littler signed a dream sponsorship deal with Xbox ahead of his World Championship success.
The deal meant that every 180, nine dart finish, or victory that Littler recorded at Alexandra Palace, would see Xbox dish out video game prizes to fans across the UK.
Also as part of the collaboration, Littler had his match shirt emblazoned with the logos of Xbox and Score More.
He is a huge fan of EA FC, which he frequently plays during his downtime from darts.
During a Premier League darts event in 2024, Littler opened up an EA FC pack on a fan’s phone during his walk to the stage.
The teenager has also taken to TikTok to show what he gets up to on the football title.
A video in January showed that he had 49,000 FC points, a currency used to open packs on the popular game, formerly known as FIFA. The largest amount of points you can buy is 12,000 for £79.99, so his amount of coins would roughly equate to £326.63.
In an EA FC update from Friday, the game honoured Diogo Jota with a new tifo pack that will be made available to all users. It comes after Jota and his brother Andre died in a car crash.
