Wimbledon eChamps 2025: reigning champion and brother both reach Final 16

The Wimbledon eChamps 2025 finalists have been decided

Out of 140,000 competitors, only 16 remain as iconic tennis Grand Slam tournament, Wimbledon, will soon crown its next esports champion.

The Wimbledon eChamps 2025 tournament, supported by American Express, will conclude with the finals on July 18th and 19th.

The esports version of Wimbledon began last year with with a 2K Sports’ Topspin 2K25 event.

This year, the tennis simulator has returned alongside a second tournament in the Tennis Clash mobile game, meaning two Wimbledon eChampions will be crowned in 2025.

Wimbledon eChamps is being run by esports tournament organisers BLAST which is best-known for Counter-Strike events.

Scottish competitor Brad Zellman became the first-ever Wimbledon Champion last year after winning in straight sets.

For winning, he was given all-expenses paid tickets to Centre Court for the 2025 men’s singles Wimbledon final and a unique gold-plated PlayStation 5.

This year, Zellman is amongst the final 16 as is his brother Gareth who also qualified for last year’s event.

The full list of TopSpin 2K25 finalists are as follows:

They will compete with competitors from Canada, Germany, France, Italy and the US to be crowned the first-ever Tennis Clash Wimbledon champions.

The winners of both tournaments will be awarded “the ultimate London weekend” with tickets to both Wimbledon and the British Summer Time music festival in Hyde Park.

This year’s iteration of the music festival was headlined by the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrygo, and Stevie Wonder.
