NORD Esports complete NLC Summer roster with former LEC pros and cancer survivor

NORD Esports have already announced their roster for the NLC 2025 Summer Split with three big changes.

The Spring runners-up have added two former LEC pros and an NLC prodigy who is returning after recovering from cancer.

The new/returning players are Artur ‘Zwyroo’ Trojan, Gian ‘Hid0’ Miguel Caruana, and Erik ‘Treatz’ Wessén.

They will join the experienced duo of Tamás ‘Vizicsacsi’ Kiss and Marcin ‘Jankos’ Jankowski to complete the roster.

NORD are coming into Summer off the best split in the organisation’s history after competing at EMEA Masters for the first time.

Last Spring, NORD handed Los Ratones their first-ever defeat in the NLC.

However, the popular team created by Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont would eventually best them in both the NLC Spring final and EMEA Masters Spring Knockout Stages.

Looking to build on that success and momentum, NORD have made signifcant chances to try and get the edge on their NLC rivals.

Polish midlaner Zwyroo played with Jankos back in the LEC last year as part of Team Heretics.

He previously won both the LVP and EMEA Masters with the Spanish org the year prior.

Zwyroo also subbed in for NORD last split during Spring Seeding and won all four best-of-ones he played in.

Former SK Gaming and TSM support Treatz played for NORD earlier this year during Winter and is back after a short stint with Movistar KOI Fénix.

ADC Hid0 has also played with NORD previously, having proven himself as a talented prodigy in the NLC 2023 season.

His performances earned him a move to the popular and very competitive LFL in France with Aegis.

However, his time there was short-lived as Hid0 was diagnosed with blood cancer and had to take a break from competing back in March 2024.

Earlier this year, Hid0 announced he underwent treatment including a bone marrow transplant and is officially cancer free.

Now, he has returned to NORD and made this roster possible as Malta counts towards NLC residency.

NORD co-founder and CEO Michel Klepper described this group as his “dream roster.”

This comes after NORD released midlaner and streamer Frederik ‘NoWay’ Hinteregger who wanted to go back to streaming in German.

Support Alf-Kristian ‘Nash’ Haaland Sund and British ADCs Nihat ‘Innaxe’ Aliev and Matthew Charles ‘xMatty’ Coombs have also departed.

xMatty may still be part of the organisation but says he is sitting Summer out as he has “exciting IRL things” which clash with the Playoffs.
