The Rocket League RLCS 2025 Raleigh Major kicks off today, June 26th, with 16 of the best teams from around the world.
This is the esport’s last Major of the year before the Rocket League Championship Series World Championship.
Meaning it’s even more important that teams perform well and rack up crucial RLCS Points towards Worlds qualification and seeding.
The Raleigh Major also features a $351,000 (£255k) prize pool with the winner taking home $102k (£74k).
Games will be played without a crowd for the first two days before fans are welcomed into the Lenovo Center for the weekend.
The last Major was held in Birmingham, England as Karmine Corp came out on top, defeating FURIA 4-0 in the final.
Now, KCorp are favourites to win Raleigh too according to the best Rocket League betting sites.
British pros competing at Rocket League RLCS Raleigh Major
There are two English Rocket League pros competing at the 2025 RLCS Raleigh Major.
Firstly, is Jack ‘ApparentlyJack’ Benton from Dignitas.
The storied organisation was founded by British esports veteran Michael ‘ODEE’ O’Dell back in 2003.
Dignitas’ Rocket League teams competed in North America for years but returned to Europe this year and brought ApparentlyJack with them.
ApparentlyJack has won one Major before, the Fall Split Major in 2022.
He has adapted to competing in Europe, considered the most competitive region, just fine.
In fact, ApparentlyJack and Dignitas defeated KCorp in the Raleigh Major: Open 5 tournament last month.
After defeating the tournament favourites, Dignitas will come into the Major full of confidence.
Especially with two-time world champion Jos ‘ViolentPanda’ van Meurs as their coach.
The other English pro is Finlay “rise” Ferguson who currently lives in Saudi Arabia and plays for MENA team Twisted Minds.
rise is also a former Major winner, having won the 2022 Spring Major with Moist Esports.
He is also a former Worlds finalist after finishing runner-up at the RLCS World Championship 2023 with Team BDS.
Like ApparentlyJack and Dignitas, rise and Twisted Minds are their regions second seeds, having failed to get the better of the fearsome Team Falcons.
Both British pros and their teams have already qualified for the RLCS World Championship in Lyon, France this year.
This is their last chance to get practice on stage and build momentum before the biggest tournament of the year.
Rocket League RLCS Raleigh Major format
The 16 qualified teams will first compete in the Swiss Stage, facing teams with the same win-to-loss record in best-of-fives.
After five rounds, only half of those teams will progress to the Playoffs.
The final eight will compete in a knockout bracket with double elimination for the Swiss Stage’s top four while fifth to eighth start in the lower bracket.
Every Playoff match will be a best-of-seven series in order to crown the RLCS Raleigh Major 2025 champions.

In my seven years of esports writing, I’ve introuduced esports coverage to newspapers, interviewed some of the biggest names in the industry, and driven viewers mad with the puns in my YouTube scripts. I’m most proud of the latter.
