Gen.G reveals cultural gaming venue GGX in Seoul

Gen.G opens GGX cultural gaming space in Seoul

Esports organisation Gen.G are opening a huge “lifestyle-focused” gaming venue, Gen.G Gaming Xperience (GGX), for the public in Seoul, Korea.

Other LCK organisations have previously opened PC bangs in the South Korean capital, including T1, FEARX, and Nongshim RedForce.

However, Gen.G claim GGX is “beyond a traditional PC cafe” and redefines the concept by blending high-performance gaming zones with cultural and lifestyle experiences.

The venue has been developed and will be operated by Superplay, an IP management company which also created other gaming spaces like the T1 Basecamp Hongdae, KT Rolster R Café, and Genshin PC Lounge.

Located around three different stations near the Dongdaemun district, it’s hoped the venue, opening June 21st, will attract foreign tourists as well as locals.

Especially as Gen.G is a global organisation with its popular LCK team one of the 10 qualified League of Legends teams competing at MSI 2025.

GGX spans 1,570 square meters and features 252 premium gaming stations, each equipped with approximately £2,400 worth of equipment.

Each setup features NVIDIA RTX 5070 GPUs, LG UltraGear monitors, Logitech gaming peripherals, custom-designed Gen.G x SIDIZ gaming chairs and Korea’s typically fast internet.

There is also a community lounge that can hold up to 100 people, with watch parties, fan meetups, and branded community events already planned.

The watch parties will surely be popular as Gen.G are favourites to win MSI according to League of Legends betting sites.

GGX also features a merchandise store with jerseys for each of its LCK players as well as other team merchandise, including some exclusive to the venue.

The store also features products from Riot Games, Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox.

Additionally, GGX will host coaching programs and classes for gamers in collaboration with the organisation’s coaching service, Gen.G Global Academy (GGA).

Former pro players will host sessions to help visitors with game analysis, aim training, and team-based gameplay.

GGX will also feature a food and beverage lounge co-developed with Otoki and a photo opportunity with a statue of the organisation’s official mascot, GenRang.

“GGX goes beyond just gaming. It’s a cultural hub where fans, players, and brands come together to create meaningful experiences,” says Gen.G’s Head of Partnerships Steve Lee.

He added: “Through spaces like this and continued innovation, Gen.G aims to lead the sustainable growth of the esports industry.”
