The Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Masters Toronto gets underway on June 7th, with 12 teams competing for a share of the $1 million (£736,000) prize pool on offer.

It is the second international LAN of the 2025 VCT after T1 emerged victorious at Valorant Masters Bangkok in March.

The S-Tier tournament will take place at the Enercare Centre in Toronto, Canada, and with Championship Points on the line, the results could determine the first teams to qualify for Valorant Champions Paris.

What is VCT Masters Toronto?

Valorant Masters Toronto 2025 is a premier offline tournament organised by Riot Games, taking place from June 7th to 22nd this month.

Held at the Enercare Centre in Toronto, it will bring the top three teams from each of the four VCT international leagues: Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), China, and Pacific.

British teams competing at VCT Masters Toronto

British team Fnatic are among the tournament favourites going into VCT Masters Toronto. Fnatic is the reigning VCT 2025: EMEA champions after defeating Team Heretics in a dominant 3-0 final.

Fnatic is one of the top-four seeds and will avoid the Swiss stage of the competition.

Fnatic dominated VCT EMEA Stage 1, securing first place with an undefeated playoff run, defeating teams like FUT Esports, Team Liquid, and Team Heretics.

There are several British players who are involved at the tournament. Jake ‘Boaster’ Howlett represents Fnatic, Georgio ‘keiko’ Sanassy is with Team Liquid, and Benjy ‘benjyfishy’ Fish plays for Team Heretics.

Wolves Esports, the esports division for English football side Wolverhampton Wanderers, are also in the tournament. However, their Valorant team is based in China.

VCT Masters format

The tournament begins with the Swiss Stage which runs from June 7th to 11th featuring eight teams.

Those teams including Team Heretics, Team Liquid, and Wolves Esports, all finished second or third in their international leagues.

It follows the Swiss System format where teams who win twice advance, while those who lose twice crash out of the tournament.

Every match is a best-of-three and the four top teams from the Swiss Stage will join G2 Esports, Fnatic, XLG Esports, and Rex Regum Qeon in the Playoffs.

The Playoffs begin on June 13th with the eight remaining teams facing a double elimination bracket, meaning they have to lose twice to crash out.

While most matches are best-of-three, the Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final are best-of-five, with both taking place on June 22nd.

VCT Masters Toronto prize pool

A $1m (£736,000) prize pool will be split between the teams competing at VCT Masters Toronto.

There are also VCT Points up for grabs, which will help determine who will compete at Valorant Champions Paris.

Masters Toronto On-Air Talent

There are several British on-air talents who will be part of the broadcasting team at VCT Masters Toronto.

Yinsu Collins will be one of the two hosts, after appearing at several notable Valorant tournaments including Valorant Champions events between 2021 and 2024.

She will be joined by four fellow Brits who will do commentary during the VCT Masters.

Those include Brennon “Bren” Hook, Michael “Hypoc” Robins, Lauren “Pansy” Scott and Josh “Sideshow” Wilkinson.

How to watch VCT Masters

VCT Masters Toronto matches will be live-streamed in English on the official Valorant Twitch and YouTube channels, with VODs available after the match day has been concluded.

The action will begin on Saturday, June 7th, with the first match to get underway around 5pm UK time.
