Attendees and prominent streamers have reported that harassment at TwitchCon Rotterdam spiralled out of control.
The rising complaints echo across several years of past streaming events, displaying a worrying trend of decreasing safety in the industry.
Reports of harassment at TwitchCon in 2025
After the event’s conclusion, several women have both reported and evidenced harassment and sexual assault that occurred at TwitchCon Rotterdam.
Its been awful. I've been catcalled so much, i have friends who had been cornered, followed, grabbed and harrassed by men, spiked drinks and innaproproate behaviour from not only locals but twitch streamers. I've had brand reps be rude to me and numerous parasocial interactions.

Streamer and cosplayer MadameDiablo shared on June 2nd that she and Twitch affiliate BellaBear966 were stalked and harassed by another creator. In her post on X, she described their attempts to prevent unwanted staring, touching, and invasion of space.
MadameDiablo added at the end of her statement that although she does not have photos or videos of the incident, she has multiple witnesses to the incident.
Streamer Jessick livestreamed unwanted attention and touching from a male crew member at the event. The crew member walked behind her, touching her back.
When confronted by her, he admitted verbally during the stream, “Yeah I shouldn’t do that.”

He then continued to make advances toward her. Fellow streamer Meowko admitted that she was harassed by the same man at the event.
Accompanying the high volume of first-person accounts of harassment at TwitchCon, many content creators are speaking publicly about the dangers of attending events as a woman.

I don’t know a single girl that hasn’t been assaulted or faced extreme harassment this weekend.
It’s not even just the twitch con attendants, you can’t walk down the street for 15 minutes without random men harassing you…
Echoes of the past – a history of harassment against streamers
Allegations of harassment at TwitchCon are not limited to 2025. A pattern of harassment and assault against streamers, particularly women, at events has been emerging over several years.
After TwitchCon San Diego in September 2024, UK streamer DBR666 was temporarily banned by Kick for harassing behaviour. He displayed inappropriate and sexual behaviour towards several male streamers.
Meanwhile, Kick streamer BigLoaaf appeared to make romantic advances towards the daughter of a fellow streamer in attendance at the same event. She was twelve years old at the time of the incident.
The actions taken by kick streamers over this twitch con weekend is a fucking joke

Seeing some attendees of the con feeling unsafe and harassed to where they felt the need to run is horrible
Some of the streamers were banned yes but the problem isn't just the streamers it's…
Furthermore, female streamers alleged that their drinks had been spiked while at SanDiego TwitchCon in 2019. This sparked controversy over the unsafe distribution of alcohol identified at the event itself.
Community reactions to the continuation of TwitchCon controversy
Rising reports of harassment at TwitchCon Rotterdam have caused the streaming community to question whether Twitch is doing enough to promote women’s safety.
Fuelling this doubt is the involvement of Twitch crew in the harassment allegations.

Suggestions to improve the experience of women at future TwitchCon events include establishing an explicit zero-tolerance harassment policy, incorporating panic buttons into the event app to alert security, and assigning safety ambassadors to the event.
Others have questioned whether the overall event security needs reconsideration.
Overall, members of the streaming and gaming community are recommending that attendees at the next TwitchCon event stay in larger groups at the venue, share their experiences with venue staff when possible, or even reconsider their attendance entirely.
The next TwitchCon is scheduled to be held in San Diego from October 17th to 19th.
