CDL Pro Dylan ‘Envoy’ Hannon rips into CDL ahead of Championship Weekend event

Popular Call of Duty League (CDL) player, Dylan ‘Envoy’ Hannon, has ripped into the CDL for lack of preparation ahead of the upcoming Championship Weekend event.

The LA Thieves player has raised concerns with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on a newer patch to the CDL Championship Weekend, meaning players aren’t able to practice ahead of the big event.

CDL comes under criticism

According to Envoy, the accounts used at the CDL are based on a patch from three months ago and the Championship Weekend will require players to use builds from Season 3 reloaded – which launched over a month ago on May 1st.

Envoy took to social media to voice his concerns and from his post it was clear to see that the former World Champion wasn’t best pleased with developers or tournament organisers.

“CDL accounts on 3-month-old patch. Retail accounts are on Season 4 and CDL is insisting we will be playing on Season 3.5 for Champs, although there is no way to play on it currently,” explained Envoy.

“The game is vastly different on Season 3.5 to Season 4 for Control. There just needs to be rules outlined in the handbook for stuff like patch switching.”

Envoy insists that the CDL can’t use the season 3 reloaded build that they plan on using for the upcoming event as there have been plenty of complaints from other players about the caster tool, which has proved to be faulty in previous Call of Duty esports events .

There has been no further details released about the Championship Weekend this year and there is still a chance that organises will deviate from the Season 3 Reloaded build.
