Danish Counter-Strike caster Jacob ‘Pimp’ Winneche has announced his first foray into football commentary for the Chelsea vs Real Betis match in the UEFA Conference League final.

The 29-year-old will take on the new role with Disney+, which will broadcast the clash on Wednesday, May 28th 2025, in Denmark.

Pimp, a former professional Counter-Strike player, has spent over a decade as an analyst and caster for major esports events.

He will now apply that experience to football commentary, a move that highlights a growing connection between esports and traditional sports broadcasting.

Pimp to commentate on Chelsea’s Conference League final clash

Pimp confirmed that he would carry over his Counter-Strike commentary experience to football broadcasting in a message on X.

In the post, he wrote: “Excited to announce that I’ll be commentating on Chelsea vs Real Betis in the Conference League Final on Wednesday night on Disney+.

“It’ll be my first game as a football commentator, and I’m hella excited to use the 10 years of CS broadcast experience to have a fun night with football!’

In a reply to someone who commented on the news, he confirmed that he would be commentating in Danish for Disney+.

The news was met with praise from his followers on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

The Conference League final in the United Kingdom will be broadcast on TNT Sports on Wednesday night.

Counter-Strike caster Pimp reveals his future ambitions

Pimp has revealed his future ambitions after announcing his move to commentary for the Conference League final.

After revealing the news about his commentary duties for Chelsea vs Real Betis, in a follow-up tweet he said that he felt his career “is just getting started”.

Pimp has spent seven years as a Counter-Strike player, more than eight as a broadcast talent, and over five as a live-streamer.

He has now stated his future ambitions of commentating on Counter-Strike and sporting events such as the Tour de France.

He tweeted: “I (have) got no clue where I’ll be in 10 years, and that excites me a lot. Here’s hoping I’ll still be turning up on your screen when your favourite Counter-Strike team plays on the big stage in 10 years time.

“Here’s hoping I’ll be the sound of your Tour De France, or favourite cycling monument one day. Plenty of goals, plenty of work still to be done.”

Earlier this year, Team Vitality announced the arrival of Pimp as an official ambassador for the club.
