There will be solos and trios tournaments which take place on August 22nd and 23rd, 2025, respectively.

The solos event will feature a $150,000 (£113,000) prize fund, while the solos hold a larger $350,000 (£263,000) pot.

Fabian Scheurmann, chief games officer at the Esports World Cup Foundation, as per Esports Advocate, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Naraka Bladepoint to the Esports World Cup 2025, as the first title in our new ECW Festival tournament programme.

“Naraka pioneered the melee battle royale genre, blending martial arts elegance with a competitive intensity that captivated millions of players worldwide.

“We’re proud to give it a new home on the world’s biggest gaming festival stage, where the EWC Festival celebrates competition and opens new opportunities for world-class esports ecosystems and players to compete at the highest level alongside the EWC Club Championship.”

Naraka: Bladepoint has flourished in the sports community since its launch in 2021. The J Cup has attracted players globally to China in recent years.

The game was developed by 24 Entertainment and published by NetEase Games.

What is the Esports World Cup Festival?

The Esports World Cup Festival runs alongside the Esports World Cup in Riyadh’s Boulevard City.

This year’s Esports World Cup will feature 40 esports clubs competing across 24 of the biggest esports titles. Those titles include League of Legends, Dota 2, Valorant and Counter-Strike 2.

Nakara: Bladepoint won’t feature as part of the main Esports World Cup lineup. The game will instead feature in the festival that coincides with it.

Geography guessing game GeoGuessr announced that its Last Chance Wildcard tournament will also take place at the festival.

The Esports World Cup will run from July 7th to August 24th, 2025.
