The Rainbow Six esports circuit, managed by tournament organiser BLAST, has unveiled a partnership with Xbox Game Pass for the 2025 season.
This collaboration will see Rainbow Six and Xbox Game Pass host a variety of online and in-person activations throughout the year.
The partnership kicked off with the Re:L0:AD tournament in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from May 10-18th, 2025. This event marks the start of the Rainbow Six esports season and will feature all 20 organisations participating in the circuit’s R6 Share program.
There are four players from the UK taking part in the tournament. That list consists of Ben ‘CTZN’ McMillan (Dark Zero), Jack ‘Doki’ Robertson (G2 Esports), Nathan ‘Nafe’ Sharp (Dark Zero) and Josh ‘Yuzus’ Pritchard (Team Falcons).
Xbox Game Pass will also activate at BLAST R6 events, including the November Major and the 2026 Six Invitational. Activations will include gaming areas, community activities and opportunities for fans to meet content creators.
A statement from Ubisoft said fans can expect enhanced experiences at Blast R6 events.
It read: “Fans attending BLAST R6 events can expect special on-site play areas and engaging community activities hosted by Ubisoft and Xbox Game Pass. Additionally, meet-and-greets and giveaways with popular Rainbow Six Siege creators will be featured throughout the season.”
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscribers benefits for Rainbow Six
Starting in June 2025, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will receive benefits by the collaboration with Rainbow Six Esports.
Ubisoft has confirmed that subscribers will unlock in-game rewards for Rainbow Six Siege X.
It’s added that the benefits will evolve throughout the year. This will align with key moments in the competitive season to keep the game fresh.
The Xbox Game pass partnership signals ambitious plans for Rainbow Six esports in 2025.
The esports circuit for the first-person shooter is riding high after a record-breaking Six Invitational in February. The event drew a peak viewership of 379,376, according to Esports Charts.
It is attracting top-tier esports organisations with teams like Team Falcons and Weibo Gaming recently joining the fray ahead of the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia.
