The broadcasting talent for the PGL Astana 2025 Counter-Strike 2 tournament has been announced, with seven British names on the line-up.
PGL Astana, takes place next month at the Barys Arena in Kazakhstan in front of a live audience.
There will be 16 teams taking part with a £1.25m (£940,000) prize pool on the line meaning there will be high stakes.
As per HLTV, Daniel ‘ddk’ Kapadia will return to Counter-Strike casting as part of the broadcasting talent.

Daniel ‘ddk’ Kapadia is making his return to Counter-Strike casting at PGL Astana 2025 in his first appearance since the PGL Stockholm Major in 2021.
After a stint as the General Manager for 100 Thieves in VALORANT, he is back in the CS scene.
The Brit will partner Danish caster Anders ‘Anders’ Blume to form a dynamic commentary duo.
The news has been met with positivity on social media with one commenting that they are ‘iconic casters’.
Another person commented on X: “DDK and Anders casting together what a throwback! Feels like 2015.”
While a person wrote that DDK is ‘one of the best in the industry’.
At PGL Astana, ddk will bring his signature expertise to the high-stakes matches whih will be streamed on Twitch, YouTube, and KICK.
Other British broadcasting talent part of PGL Astana
Alongside ddk, several British broadcasters will contribute to PGL Astana’s success.
James Banks, a charaismatic stage host, will command the audience at the Barys Arena with his energetic presence and player interviews.
Richard Lewis, a veteran esports journalist, will also offer his analysis insights as a host. The third host will be South African Sam ‘Tech Girl’ Wright.
There are five British casters as part of the line-up including ddk.
Completing the line-up are Harry ‘JustHarry’ Russell, Alex ‘Machine’ Richardson, Hugo ‘Hugo’ Byron and Adam ‘Dinko’ Hawthorne.
When is PGL Astana?
The PGL Astana 2025 tournament is set to take place from May 10 to 18, bringing Counter-Strike 2 competition to Kazakhstan.
It will begin with a group stage and the playoffs, which take place between May 16 and 18, will be broadcast in front of a live audience.
