The wildly popular hero shooter Marvel Rivals has introduced a new limited-time game mode, Giant-Sized Brain Blast, which is set to launch on Friday as part of the Hellfire Gala in Season 2.
Announced via the official Marvel Rivals X account on April 22, the chaotic party mode promises oversized fun with all characters sporting comically inflated heads. It is paired with exclusive rewards like titles, emotes, and more.
Marvel Rivals Announces Big-Headed Party Mode
The Giant-Sized Brain Blast game mode on Marvel Rivals is said to be designed for lighthearted, non-competitive gameplay.
In the announcement on X, Marvel Rivals tweeted: “Heads Up – literally! Introducing Giant-Size Brain Blast, the most mind-blowing mode in Marvel Rivals!
“Get in, get huge, and get your name on that leaderboard. Score free event-exclusive titles and an emote just for playing. Starting April 25, everyone’s rocking oversized noggins and even bigger plays. Big heads, big fights, BIG FUN.”
Unlike the game’s esports-focused tournaments, the mode prioritises silly chaos over competitive intensity – making it accessible and enjoyable for all players.
The mode will feature leaderboards that ranks players based on their performance with each character. These leaderboards will reset with every event round and players can earn unique rewards.
The rewards, automatically credited to players’ accounts, include character-specific titles that can be equipped via the Career menu. The available titles are:
-
Top 10: Planet-Sized-Brain [Chosen Character]
-
Top 100: Monster-Sized-Brain [Chosen Character]
-
Top 1000: Giant-Sized-Brain [Chosen Character]
Players can also unlock a Brain-Blast emote for their chosen hero by completing 10 matches in the mode. This emote inflates the character’s head, mirroring the mode’s oversized aesthetic
Marvel Rivals has a history of engaging players with limited-time modes. Previous examples include Clone Rumble from Season 1 and Jeff Winter’s Splash Festival, which debuted shortly after the game’s launch in 2024.
The game also hosts competitive events like the Marvel Rivals Championships and the recently introduced monthly Playstation Cups. This caters to players seeking a moe serious challenge.
