George Geddes, Upwards Agency founder and CEO and former Valorant esports journalist, has announced a $1,000 Valorant clip competition for charity.
The competition winner will receive $500, while Brit George Geddes will personally donate $500 to the Neurodiversity Alliance.
The initiative is entirely funded by the salary of George Geddes, as CEO of his gaming marketing agency, Upwards Agency, which launched in 2024.
The Valorant Clip Competition will feature Sentinels’ star player Zekken and Team BBL’s Jamppi as headline supporters of the initiative. While not financially compensated, both players have voluntarily lent their names and platforms to raise awareness for the cause, amplifying the importance of neurodiversity in gaming.
Their involvement reflects a growing movement among top-tier players to support socially impactful projects within the esports ecosystem, according to a press release.
In addition to Zekken and Jamppi, several content creators and members of the wider esports community will also participate in and promote the competition. The initiative is designed to ‘bring together players, fans, and creators from all backgrounds to highlight the creative energy of the Valorant scene, while championing inclusivity for neurodivergent individuals’.
Also, members of the community can personally donate to the Neurodiversity Alliance campaign via Upwards’ initiative here.
Donations are not required to participate in the competition and are completely optional, but ‘highly appreciated’, Upwards added in its press release.
Those taking part in the competition are:

Upwards CEO George Geddes said: “Neurodivergent individuals are deeply woven into the fabric of esports and gaming. Their innovation, perspective, and passion have helped define what this space looks like today. It’s our responsibility to not only acknowledge that, but to actively support and uplift them through meaningful action.
“This competition is just the start. I’m committed to running more community-based initiatives, launching regular content competitions, and making continued personal donations to causes that advocate for neurodiversity.
“Through Upwards, I want to build a platform that not only delivers great work, but also gives back to the people who make this industry what it is.”
George Geddes, Upwards Agency
The launch of the clip competition coincides with the formalisation of Upwards Agency, which has operated for almost one year. The agency provides 24/7 marketing, social and campaign assistance for organisations within gaming and esports.
The company says it has seen ‘incredible success, as organisations continuously look for a budget-friendly yet high-quality
alternative to creative tasks’.
To be clear, there is no sponsorship, collaboration, or partnership between Upwards, George Geddes, and the Neurodiversity Alliance. This is an independent initiative.
