Update: ADC player Innaxe, jungler Jankos and support player Nash have joined Nord.
Team manager Envy has also joined from Rich Gang.
And former UK ADC xMatty has commented saying he’ll be sitting the next split out and cheering from the sidelines.
Two big-name players in the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC), Santorin and Treatz, have left Nord Esports.
The pair joined the esports organisation at the start of the year, with the respective Danish jungler and Swedish support player boasting a mix of top-tier experience over the years.
Along with top-laner Vizicsacsi, mid-laner NoWay and ADC xMatty, they performed well in the NLC Winter 2025 season, finishing runners-up to Los Ratones, who won the Winter 2025 NLC finals in Nottingham earlier this month.
Nord Esports published a thank you post on social media earlier, saying goodbye to Santorin and Treatz.
Treatz said: “Had a lot of fun getting to know everyone in Nord, massive thanks to my teammates and everyone I worked with for a banger split. Now time for a new adventure.”
Santorin, who came out of retirement to join Nord earlier this year, added: “I am no longer competing for Nord Esports. I enjoyed my time on Nord – everyone involved was super nice and I built some new friendships which I am very grateful for.
“At the end of the day we fell short losing to Los Ratones and not making it to EMEA Masters, but competing again definitely brought back a fire within me, which was an amazing feeling to have once again. With that being said – even thogh I really enjoy playing competitive, I felt like the project wasn’t very sustainable for me and my future, which makes me sad, but I also have to be realistic.
“I am not competing anymore to make it into the LEC or LCS, this is something that I chose not to pursue because of my own wishes of wanting to stay within Denmark and live my life here, so I was hoping the streaming aspect of the competitive grind would get more traction, but that unfortunately didn’t pan out.”
Santorin
“I hope the team will continue to do amazing and luckily my replacement is the goat of EU himself, so they are left in the best hands possible!”
Santorin also said he’s interested in coaching in the future, and sent his thanks to Nord and the fans.
According to Sheep Esports, Nord have been linked with ADC Innaxe, who previously played in the UK scene with Excel Esports years ago, and jungler Jankos, who was with The Ruddy Sack in the NLC Winter 2025 season.
We’re currently in the NLC off-season, with Los Ratones competing in the Winter EMEA Masters, ahead of the Spring 2025 NLC in April.
