Riot Games, in collaboration with Red Bull, hosted a 2025 Valorant Masters Bangkok watch party at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in London last weekend. Paulina Niewinska looks back on it.

UK-based fans of the team shooter gathered to witness the conclusion of the global tournament, which saw the world’s top teams against each other for early-season supremacy.

The event culminated in a showdown between T1 and G2 Esports, who battled it out in a best-of-five series to decide the champion. The finals, which took place in Bangkok on Sunday, March 2nd 2025, followed T1’s impressive victory in the pre-final match against Edward Gaming (EDG) the day before.

In the morning of the event, Riot Games has also revealed the new Valorant agent, Waylay, a duelist with time-slowing themed abilities.

The viewing party offered a range of themed food and drinks inspired by the new agent and the event, including tropical bubble teas, Thai cuisine, and exclusive Valorant Masters merchandise.

Tickets to the event also included access to a range of Red Bull energy drinks.

Beyond the action on the screen, the event was filled with additional entertainment, including 5v5 and 1v1 Valorant matches, with participants receiving stickers featuring Waylay.

Cosplayers representing popular Valorant agents roamed the event, taking pictures with attendees and cheering on their favourite teams.

The news also comes as the Red Bull Instalock women’s Valorant tournament was confirmed to return to London for 2025.

The grand final itself was a back-and-forth contest, with each team claiming victories on different maps.

G2 Esports kicked things off with a narrow 13-5 win on the first map, Lotus T1 quickly responded on the second map, Haven, with a dominant 13-9 victory.

G2 regained the lead with a 13-11 win on Abyss, before T1 equalised with a 14-13 victory on Split, going into overtime.

The final and deciding map, Pearl, saw a nail-biting overtime match on the tie-breaker, where T1 triumphed with a 16-14 win, securing their place as the Valorant Masters Bangkok 2025 champions.

T1 have received five VCT points for their victory, which will help them qualify for the Champions later in the year.

The new agent, which already caught attention of Valorant players online, is set to appear on in Valorant’s Season 2025 Act 2, coming March 5th 2025.

Elsewhere last weekend, the League of Legends NLC Winter 2025 finals took place in Nottingham, with Los Ratones clinching the victory.
