The European Halo League kicked off its 2025 season last month, with an event that would end up being Into the Breach’s last.
The European Halo Kick-Off 2025 LAN was hosted in partnership with the College of Esports at the Lee Valley Velodrome in Stratford’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
It took place on January 25th and 26th 2025, and was sponsored by Vext Games and Scan Computers.
16 teams competed in the event, with nine different countries represented in the overall tournament, battling it out for a £1,000 prize pool.
One of the orgs, Into the Breach, suddenly ceased trading a day after their Halo team won the event.

The Into the Breach Halo team of WuTum, SLG, GloryGGz and Snipedrone and coach Wonderboy made it out of the group stage, and won the entire event through Winners Side of the Playoffs without dropping a single game. They beat BH3 Esport in the final.
The team’s recent performances also include high placements at multiple major events including a 13th place finish at the London Major, 5th place at the Atlanta Major, and 7th place at both the Salt Lake City Major and Halo World Championship 2024.
After Into the Breach closed, it was announced last week that the team had joined Team Nemesis, an org recently formed from the ashes of Into the Breach.

The stream, which was hosted on the European Halo League’s Twitch channel, saw over 10,000 viewers tune in over the weekend, with the peak viewers reaching over 1,100.
The news comes almost a year after the first University Halo League LAN became one of the UK’s most-viewed student broadcasts on Twitch, and the parent organisation of UHL, the European Halo League, merged with broadcasting company Atlas Esports.
James ‘CptJamesForce’ Hargrave, MD and co-owner at ATLAS Esports, said:
“It’s the dedication of not only the players and organisations, but also the viewers around the globe that enables us to put on LAN Events such as the European Halo Kick-off 2025. We want to bridge the gap between the players in the room and the audiences at home cheering on their favourite players and teams!”
