IEM Katowice content powered by Predator Gaming
Esports data provider Bayes Esports has expanded its partnership with ESL Faceit Group (EFG), to boost the IEM Katowice tournament broadcast with live match predictions.
Underpinned by Bayes Esports’ data science team, the probabilities for broadcast have been launched at the IEM Katowice playoffs stage from February 7th to 9th 2025.
Over 11,000 fans have attended the sold-out event in the arena, while hundreds of thousands more have been tuning in online to see who will claim a share of the $1.25m prize pool.
Powered by official live data from EFG, Bayes Esports’ real-time predictions have been displayed alongside the match broadcast.

The analytics can reflect the probability percentages of who’s more likely to win each map and the overall match. They can also calculate the likelihood of overtime based on live updates of the current state of the game. As the game progresses, the analytics refine win probabilities based on the latest in-game events.
The live match predictions are displayed at any moment throughout a match, for example hyping up a tournament favourite before a match or showcasing an underdog’s shocking victory.
“At EFG, we are always looking for ways to push the boundaries of esports entertainment and make the experience as engaging as possible,” said Falko Wächter, Senior Director Partner Management, Brand Partnerships EMEA at ESL Faceit Group.
“Bayes Esports has consistently impressed us with its innovative tools powered by our data. Their dynamic live predictions not only enhance the viewing experience but also create new opportunities for our partners to connect with fans in real-time. With seamless native integrations, brands can engage audiences in a way that feels natural and immersive.”
Bayes Esports match predictions aim to create brand activations and new revenue streams
With nearly 1m viewers watching the IEM Katowice 2024 finals, the ESL broadcast offers sponsors visibility. Bayes Esports’ live match predictions unlock native ad space, allowing EFG to showcase brand activations from their partners.
Partners can create personalised branding overlays custom to their product and will be integrated alongside the displayed predictions. The newly available ad space also creates an opportunity for EFG to unlock a new revenue stream.
“Our partnership with EFG dates back to the early days of Bayes Esports, and together, we’ve continuously explored how data-driven tools can elevate their tournaments,” said Ahilleas Papantos, Business Development Director of Bayes Esports.
“Data has the power to transform the fan experience and keep them hooked to the screen every step of the way, before, during, and long after the final play. We have seen it time and time again in traditional sports so we are thrilled we can bring this level of excitement to esports. This is just the beginning of how data-driven insights can revolutionise esports broadcasts.”
With over 25 markets for CS2 such as probabilities of a successful ace round, and 12 markets for Dota 2, such as who will take the first Roshan kill, Bayes Esports says the possibilities are limitless.
