Former Into the Breach (ITB) staff have announced they’ve set up a new UK esports organisation, known as Team Nemesis.
The news comes a few days after Into the Breach announced they were winding down their operations, due to their CEO taking company funds for personal use, and failing to pay players what they are owed.
Now some former staff have set up a new org.
Nemesis (nothing to do with the Los Ratones League of Legends player of the same name) made the announcement on their new socials, saying: “Reborn from the ashes to continue building our legacy.”
Nemesis also announced that they have joined venture studio Fisher8, the same firm that previously acquired a majority stake in Into the Breach.
Nemesis sent Esports News UK the following statement: “The closure of ITB was a difficult moment for everyone involved, but what kept us going was the team’s shared belief in the potential of esports.
“Despite the challenges, the core group stuck together because we all share the same vision: to grow, develop, and elevate esports in a way that’s sustainable and fair. Nemesis is built on that same vision.”
“It’s not about forgetting the past, but about learning from it and moving forward with integrity. We’re still figuring things out, but your support means the world to us as we take these first steps.”
As it’s still early days at the moment, the organisation are currently working on job roles and assessing the esports games they will be competing in.
Update (February 12th 2025): Team Nemesis have announced a Halo roster in a humorous video below, signing UK player Snipedrone and coach Wonderboy, Irish player Glory, Finnish player WuTum and French player Norwen (aka SLG).
This team were formerly with Into the Breach, and won the European Halo Kick-Off 2025 LAN one day prior to ITB closing.
Coach Wonderboy told Esports News UK: “The team is very eager to get to work representing Team Nemesis as their first ever roster. We trust in their vision. A big attraction for us is the opportunity to forge a legacy alongside a new brand. We can’t wait to see Nem up on the big stage with us at Halo Majors this year!”
Staff at Team Nemesis include Kuba and Momo. Esports News UK has asked Nemesis for a list of other staff and will update this article once everything is confimed and finalised.
