UK League of Legends caster Alex ‘Nymaera’ Hapgood is returning to the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) for Winter 2025 as part of its broadcast talent line-up.
Nymaera, who looks a lot like several League of Legends champions, was a part of the LEC broadcasts in 2022 and 2023, and now returns to join fellow UK veteran casters Vedius and Medic, plus Irish talent Dagda.
Others in the LEC Winter 2025 broadcast talent line-up include Sjokz, Odoamne, Laure, Hysterics, Guldborg, Giniro, Finn, Drakos and Jackspektra, who joins for the first time, plus other guests.
Nymaera said in the post below that it ‘means an awful lot to be back’.
The broadcast talent line-up will be covering the action between G2, Karmine Corp, Koi, Rogue, SK Gaming, Team BDS, Team Heretics, Team Vitality and London-headquartered organisations Fnatic and GiantX.
Jakub ‘atroooix’ Szmyt, who gained experience in UK esports, is currently Esports Director for the LEC.
He said: “Back on the director seat for this year of LEC! Can’t wait to work with the talent and awesome broadcast production crew we have.”
Odoamne said: “The LEC has been my life for the past 11 years, and although it will be the first time I will not be competing as a player in it, I’m incredibly excited to be a part of the broadcast and contribute to the league in a different way than I’ve done before.”
Troubleinc, who is casting in the NLC for 2025, said: “This is the first time in 3.5 years I do not see my face on this announcement. I am sorry, I have failed.
“I will continue trying to grow and develop and hopefully get back on the show with these incredible people! That being said the industry is growing so incredibly fast and there are so many amazing friends and colleagues on this show! Give them all your love! Trouble out.”
Eragon, who also missed out, said: “Insanely stacked line-up. I didn’t make it this time around, but will try my best to get back there no matter what.”
Finn added: “Really excited to be back on the LEC for next year. Starting off 2025 with fearless is gonna make it super intresting to see what teams do and how they adapt to the new system.”
