European esports organisation OG Esports have today announced the appointment of British esports executive Daniel Sanders as their new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Dan joined OG as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) in August 2023, following stints at the likes of Luckbox, Tencent Games, Red Bull, Faceit and Dignitas, from 2007 to 2023.
The org said Dan’s promotion to CEO ‘marks a pivotal moment in the company’s growth’.
“Daniel Sanders brings a wealth of leadership experience from renowned companies like Dignitas, Tencent Games, and Red Bull,” OG said in a press release today.
“Over the past two years, he has also played a key role at OG Esports as CCO, helping shape the organisation’s strategic direction and success.
“With a background in corporate strategy and a deep understanding of the esports industry—bolstered by his experience as a former professional player—Daniel is uniquely equipped to lead OG Esports into its next chapter. One focused on broadening the organisation’s impact in the esports world and continuing its mission to inspire, empower, and unite through passion and community.”
“We have an incredibly exciting future, and I am extremely excited to help realise that vision with such a passionate and talented team.”
