British FC football esports caster Brandon Smith has been awarded Esports Play by Play Caster of the Year at the 2024 Esports Awards Los Angeles ceremony.

And Korean League of Legends giants, and Worlds 2024 London winners, T1, won Esports Team of the Year, while their star player, Faker, was awarded Esports PC Player of the Year.

The Esports Journalist of the Year category was dropped this year, and this second Esports Awards ceremony of 2024 was originally supposed to take place in London, but was moved to Los Angeles.

The latest awards event was hosted by Brit Lottie ‘Praagy’ Van-Praag and South African Trevor ‘Quickshot’ Henry.

Brandon was also awarded an esports creator award at the separate Football Content Awards 2024, ahead of S2G and Work the Space.

In the ‘Best In Esports – Organisation’ category, Manchester City won, ahead of British Esports and Faze Clan.

The Mobies presented by Samsung Galaxy, the mobile gaming awards ceremony, has announced the winners of its second annual event, held at the Emmy-award winning Thunder Studios in Los Angeles.

This year’s ceremony brought together global leaders, innovators, and fans of mobile gaming for an evening of celebration and recognition.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, the Mobies presented by Samsung Galaxy continued to honour the games, players, content creators, and organisations shaping the future of mobile gaming.

Hosted by Barney “Banks” Banks, Daniel “Dgon” Gonzales, and Rachel “Seltzer” Quirico, the event featured moments of recognition and entertainment.

This year’s winners highlighted excellence across the mobile gaming landscape. TikTok claimed Mobile App of the Year for its impact on gaming culture, PUBG Mobile was named Mobile Action Game of the Year, and the Stumble Guys x MrBeast collaboration earned Campaign of the Year.

Esports platform Liquipedia also won Coverage Platform of the Year.

Founded by the team behind the Esports Awards, the award ceremony is watched by 20 million people each year.
