Evnia, the gaming sub-brand of Philips, has announced the release of its newest addition to their premium Evnia 8000 monitor series: the Philips Evnia 49M2C8900.
Designed for gamers searching for a ‘state-of-the-art display that delivers an immersive experience and first-class performance for work as well as play’, the 49M2C8900 aims for versatility with features such as the 32:9 SuperWide (48.9″) screen and USB-C docking station, supporting 90W power delivery to connected devices.
Evnia, with the mission to introduce a gaming brand meant for everyone, has packed the Philips Evnia 49M2C8900 with specs that are aimed for all types of gameplay; such as a QD-OLED display for pristine visuals, a 240 Hz refresh rate for fast and clear gaming, a response time of 0.03 ms GtG and VESA ClearMR (Clear Motion Ratio) 13000 certification to ensure blur-free gaming.
The Philips Evnia 49M2C8900 also has built-in speakers supporting DTS Sound with 30 W output for immersive audio, and the Ambiglow feature adds to the experience.

Philips says that another key aspect of the Philips Evnia 49M2C8900 is its visual power: it is designed to give users a luxurious viewing experience.
Thanks to its QD-OLED panel technology, Double-QHD (5210×1440) resolution, true 10-bit colour depth and 450 nits peak brightness, the monitor aims to deliver crystal-clear and premium image quality.
The visual potency of the Philips Evnia 49M2C8900 is also certified. Along with the features mentioned above that make this screen’s imagery shine, the monitor is certified with DisplayHDR True Black 400 for tested premium HDR performance, and also has Vesa ClearMR 13000 to ensure gaming without smearing.
The 49M2C8900 has also gone for a modern, elegant design, backed by the monitor becoming both the Reddot winner 2023 and receiving the iF Design Award 2023.
Additional features such as the MultiClient Integrated KVM switch, VESA mount option, Compact Ergo Base (a height-adjustable ergonomic stand), and LowBlue mode are added to this monitor’s arsenal for everyday use.
