Monaco Esports have formally announced the signing of two standout Fortnite players, including British pro Harry ‘Veno’ Pearson (pictured above).
They have also signed Latvian player Andrejs ‘Merstach’ Piratovs to build a young team aged 18 (Veno) and 16 (Merstach).
The new players join after British player Stablecherry joined Monaco Esports earlier this year.
Monaco Esports – founded in 2014 to promote and develop esports in Monaco – said in a news release that the ‘strategic acquisitions position Monaco as the world’s best team in global Fortnite competition’, with the players ‘forming a devastating combination set to spark fireworks in upcoming tournaments’.
The organisation said: “Veno, known for his tactical skills and nimble gameplay, has been a key player in many victorious tournaments and is hailed as the most skilled player on the Fortnite scene. He brings to Monaco Esports unparalleled game experience and mastery.
“Merstach, on the other hand, is famous for his aggressive playstyle and shooting prowess. His ability to take down opponents with surgical precision has established him as one of the game’s most feared players.”
Louis Ducruet, co-owner of Monaco Esports, added:
“We are incredibly proud to welcome Veno and Merstach into our family. Their talent, dedication, and passion for the game align perfectly with our philosophy and ambitions. We are confident that this signing will place us at the pinnacle of the international esports scene.”

In the announcement, Monaco Esports also said they’ve sent a clear message to their rivals: that they are ‘here to win, and they have the team to do it’.
“The esports world will undoubtedly be riveted on the performances of Veno and Merstach as they embark on this exciting new chapter of their careers,” the chest-thumping news release continued.
The next step for Monaco is the FNCS 2023 Global Championship at Copenhagen on October 13th 2023.
Earlier this summer, Esports News UK conducted an interview with Veno about Red Bull Contested and getting banned from Epic’s Discord.
