The Amazon University Esports UK and Ireland women and non-binary Winter 2022 playoffs have concluded in League of Legends and Valorant.
Amazon University Esports tournaments are run in the UK and Ireland by NUEL in partnership with GGTech.
Galactic Meow win League of Legends final as four-time achievement is made

Galactic Meow, an iteration of Celestial Cats/Ethereal Cats with a mix of players from different universities (officially listed as Staffordshire University), defeated Starlight (University of Stirling) 3-0 in the Winter 2022 Women and Non-Binary League of Legends playoff a few days ago.
The winning roster consisted of:
- Top: GertrudeThePony (She/Her) – University of Oxford
- Jungle: BIG Trez (She/Her) – University of Derby
- Mid: Yanako (Apple Soju) (She/Her) – University of Surrey
- ADC: Mirai (They/Them) – Staffordshire University
- Support: Mietteu (She/Her) – University of Southampton

Aschente sweep Boosted Egirls in Valorant final

Aschente (University of Surrey) beat Boosted Egirls (Durham University) 3-0 in the Valorant Winter 2022 Women and Non-Binary final this week.
The winning team consisted of:

- CTRL Vitrinix (She/Her)
- Bunny (She/Her)
- LBDR skeliaton (She/Her)
- ReX Egg (She/Her)
Zubear of Durham Uni’s Valorant team said:
However, the final was mistakenly run as a weighted best-of-five, when it should have been a regular best-of-five. As a result, Aschente were declared the winners on stream (3-0 after two game wins) in error. Organisers are arranging with the two teams right to fix a date to continue the match.

The NUEL Winter 2022 open finals in mixed League of Legends, Rocket League and Valorant will take place on December 9th and 10th 2022 at Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies in Nottingham.
