Last week UK and Northern Europe esports organisations in Rainbow Six Siege made a number of achievements, in both the 2022 Siege Northern Premier League Season 1 and the European Challenger League Qualifier 1.
Heroic, Tenstar and more head to playoffs in Siege’s Northern Premier League
To start with, the regular season of the first Rainbow Six Siege Northern Premier League has concluded, and the Northern Premier League playoffs teams will include a few from the UK.
Danish org Heroic finished top of the group stage standings, with 39 points, ahead of UK orgs Tenstar and Viperio 86 with 36 and 34 points respectively.
Victus, a UK org who recently impressed in the Gamers Without Borders Siege Europe tournament, finished fourth with 33 points,
Then Denmark’s Ambush Esport finished fifth with 27 points, ahead of the UK’s Coalesce in sixth with 21 points. They finished just ahead of fellow UK org MNM, with 18 points in seventh place.
Sissi State Punks and Riddle finished in eighth and ninth place with seven points and one point respectively. Navi didn’t finish as they dropped out of the Northern Premier League after a few weeks.
The top six teams listed in the tweet above will now head to the playoffs starting July 30th 2022, with Viperio facing Coalesce and Victus against Ambush.
Higher seeds Heroic and Tenstar will start from the upper bracket semi-finals.
Viperio win European Challenger League 2022 Qualifier 1

UK esports organisation Viperio continue to make waves in Rainbow Six esports, having won their first tournament in competitive Siege earlier this month. Namely, a Challenger League qualifier.
They finished top of 106 teams after a convincing run, beating the likes of Ovation (7-2), Esport Empire (2-0), Coalesce (2-0), EDS (2-0) in the latter stages of the qualifier, then Irish esports organisation Wylde in the final (2-1).
They took the €1,500 top prize and 100 qualification points, with Wylde taking home €1,000 and 75 points. EDS and Tenstar finished in third and fourth place respectively, each taking 50 points and EDS also receiving €500.
Viperio founder Christopher Sword posted on LinkedIn, saying:
“Outplacing 105 other teams, including teams owned by celebrities such as Jesse Lingard (Jlingz) and David de Gea (Rebels Gaming), we’re now the most likely team to qualify for the European Challenger League later this year.”

Viperio added in a post on their website: “Viperio 86 will compete in Qualifiers two and three to secure more points to cement their place in the upcoming league, however with qualificatino also possible through the upcoming Northern Premier League 2022 finals, Viperio 86 are regarded as the most likely team to qualify for the event at current.”
