DotX Talent, the UK-based esports and gaming agency founded by Morgan Sports Law, has announced the launch of a new player transfer service.
Players who wish to use the service can engage DotX to negotiate a playing contract or transfer, without the commitment of a long-term agreement.
The service is designed to avoid the conflicts of interest that are becoming increasingly common in agencies operating in esports, and make expert support more accessible to players at what can be a vulnerable time in their careers. It is available to professionals competing in any esports title, worldwide.
The service will cost £600 (inc. VAT), plus an amount equivalent to 5% of the player’s annual salary, and can be paid for in instalments.
Morgan Sports Law launched DotX Talent, a new esports and gaming talent management agency for pro players, casters and streamers, earlier this year.
“Conflicts of interest are everywhere in esports, including in agencies,” said Nick Williams, MD of DotX and a barrister at Morgan Sports Law.
“Agencies which represent teams and players for commercial deals are also negotiating the players’ contracts. The larger independent agencies are representing multiple players competing for the same places in top leagues. Our service intends to avoid conflicts by providing short-term targeted support solely around a transfer or contract renewal.”

“Morgan Sports Law has a rich history of protecting player rights, and this service from DotX will help extend that to more esports players.”
Mitsouko Anderson, head of partnerships at DotX, added: “We think it is critical that professional players have all the information they need when they are thinking about entering into a contract to make sure their rights are protected.”
“We aim to accomplish this by offering accessible advice that they can feel confident in, through our unique combination of the legal expertise of Morgan Sports Law and the esports-specific knowledge of DotX.”
DotX Talent has also recently hired Jay Massaad as digital marketing lead. Jay has formerly worked with LVL, Esports Insider and LVP.
For those players who want ‘more intensive career support’, DotX says its standard representation packages are still available.
Players can contact DotX through its website, dotxtalent.com, or by emailing [email protected].
