Red Bull Campus Clutch

The world final of Red Bull Campus Clutch, the largest global student Valorant esports competition, will take place offline in Madrid this weekend (July 17th and 18th).

The event is the conclusion to the Valorant tournament that has seen over 25,000 participants and 400 events, in search of the world’s best student Valorant team.

While the UK and Ireland teams have already been knocked out, there’s a host of talent casting the finals, from the UK and beyond.

The event will take feature a live audience and appearances from a number of leading figures in esports, including Spanish G2 player Oscar ‘mixwell’ Cañellas, UK caster Daniel ‘DDK’ Kapadia and Australia’s Jessica ‘Jessgoat’ Bolden, who’s well-known in the Rainbow Six esports scene. The full list of desk talent and 12 teams can be found at the bottom of this article.

Red Bull Campus Clutch began in January with qualifiers and regional finals taking place in more than 50 countries. Last month, the 50 national final winning teams entered the Red Bull Campus Clutch World Final Knockout Round, a first of its kind event in Valorant esports, which ran from June 3rd to 6th and culminated in a 24-hour livestream.

The top 12 teams were decided, and they include the likes of Bedel Ödeyenler from Turkey who defeated 1,600 teams in the qualifier stage and Project S from Portugal, who despite never meeting in real life, managed to defeat the UK in the Knockout Round.

Red Bull produced this parkour video to promote the finals:

Teams will be competing for €20,000 and VIP tickets to the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT). They will also receive global recognition on broadcast during the event, with highlights from their momentous win played for viewers across the globe.

This weekend, the group stage will take place on Saturday July 17th from 8.30am to 6pm BST. On the Sunday, the semi-finals will get underway from 10am to 4pm BST, and the final will start from 4pm BST.

The news comes after Acend won the separate Valorant VCT Europe Stage 3 Challengers 1 after several UK teams exited early.

Red Bull Campus Clutch is one of the first LAN events since the pandemic began, with others including epic.LAN 33 and the British Esports Student Champs.
