UK esports organisation Excel Esports have made a couple of changes to their League of Legends roster.
They have signed Swedish top-laner Felix ‘Kryze’ Hellström (pictured left), who joins from Prime League side Unicorns Of Love Sexy Edition.
During the Spring Split regular season, he was one of the players to watch, and has previously played for G2 Heretics, Hybrid Esports and FALKN.
Excel have also announced that their Dutch mid-laner Joran ‘Special’ Scheffer (pictured right) has been promoted to the starting mid-laner spot on their LEC roster.
Special joins from the organisation’s academy team, BT Excel, where he helped them pull off a miracle run in the EU Masters to secure a playoffs spot.
Before that, BT Excel also went undefeated in the UKLC regular season, with a 14-0 win record. BT Excel were beaten by Fnatic Rising in the UKLC final.
Special started his esports journey in 2015 and has played for the likes of Giants Gaming, Fnatic and Misfits Gaming.
Both Kryze and Special will join the rest of Excel Esports when they return for the LEC Summer Split on June 12th. They join Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont, Patrik ‘Patrik’ Jírů and Tore ‘Tore’ Eilertsen to complete Excel Esports starting roster for the LEC Summer Split.
Their aim for Excel is to of course reach the LEC playoffs. In the spring split, they finished 7th.
BT Excel will also be taking part in the new Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC), along with fellow UK sides Fnatic Rising, Barrage Esports, Munster Rugby Gaming and MnM Gaming, as well as a host of other teams from across Norther Europe.
