UK games expo EGX is underway once again – this time at ExCeL Center in London. There are a few esports-related activities at the 2019 show, which runs from today (October 17th) to Sunday (20th).

First up, there’s a League of Legends pro masterclass with Excel Esports on Friday.

Two of Excel’s British pro players, Kasing and Caedrel, will be streaming from their booth from 2.30pm.

Then, from 6pm, attendees can join Team Excel on the HyperX Esports truck to learn what it takes to be a professional League of Legends player.

From 6pm, Kasing and Caedrel will play against guests in 2v2 battles and help teach them some tips and tricks in the process.

Speaking of League of Legends, the newly-announced Legends of Runeterra card game will be playable at EGX.

It’s a free-to-play strategy card game set in the world of LoL, with gameplay built around ‘dynamic, alternating combat’ that demands players use their skill, creativity and cleverness to succeed.

Riot Games also held a League 10-Year: Live from Europe livestream from ExCeL London on Wednesday.

In other esports-related activities, there’s the HyperX Esports Truck and Belong Gaming Arenas hosting the final matches of the HyperX Turbo Clash Rocket League tournament.

The semi finals on Saturday see the York Vikings battle the Colchester Centurions, along with a rematch between the MK Enigmas and the Clyde Claymores, the finalists from Arena Clash’s Summer season. The winners of these two matches will face-off in the grand finals on Sunday morning.

There will also be Just Dance 2020 and Overwatch available for guests to play, with the latter encouraging people to play each other in 3v3 King of the Kill and win prizes. HyperX is also hosting G4metime, where contestants battle it out over three different titles and win peripherals.

In addition, National Student Esports (NSE) will also have a presence at the show. They are running CSGO 1v1 matches and offering prizes, plus they will also be hosting a Teamfight Tactics student invitational on the Saturday.

Elsewhere, OMEN by HP will have an esports stage featuring tournaments, live influencer talks and more.

There’s also the Capcom Pro Tour European Regional Final featuring Street Fighter V Arcade Edition on PlayStation 4.

On Friday and Saturday, there will be a Regional Open Tournament (registration now closed) which will have a $15,000 prize pool.

Then on Sunday, there’s the BIG ONE, the EU Regional Final, where the top eight players on the European CPT table will compete for a separate $15,000 prize pool.

EGX is also playing host to two Nintendo tournaments. There will be qualifiers for the Splatoon 2 UK Championship and the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate UK Team Cup across the weekend.

ASUS is also running some activity at EGX 2019. The ROG Bus will let guests play in a 12-system LAN, while a 1v1 streamer stage will see the likes of Sacriel and MnM Gaming challenged by attendees.

Finally, on the Friday, there’s an esports career panel at 12pm, which will be livestreamed on the EGX Twitch channel:
