UK League of Legends veteran Billy “Nutri” Wragg (pictured) is travelling to Paris with his Overwatch team The Chavs to take part in the €5,000 Overwatch XTRA Cup finals this weekend.
Other teams in the finals include Team Dignitas, Movistar Riders and Grand Danois (who were playing for Fragsters before the org dropped them this week).
Nutri is team coach for The Chavs, which has some British players – Christopher “ChrisTFer” Graham and Piotr “Sev” Hutyra.
Other players include Jonas “Shazardous” Souvaara, Erik “SnizzleNose” Hedåker and Tamás “tomzeY” Bordás.
The Chavs will take on all-Danish side Grand Danois in one semi-final, while Dignitas will face Movistar in the other. The matches are set to begin on Saturday January 28th.
The Chavs impressed in the latter end of 2016, having won several Go4Overwatch and other cups already.
A win in Paris will surely put their name on the map even more – especially if they beat Dig in the final.
Speaking of which, Dignitas confirmed their European Overwatch roster earlier today. DPS player Jose Antonio “BromaS” Ramos Gonzales, Flex pick Joshua “ToxikeN” Campos and DPS/Flex player Jiri “LiNkz” Masalin have extended their contracts.
Then there’s Marcel “Veineless” Lehmann, Elvinas “Evokje” Padegimas and Patrick “Wat7” Marwal.
