A new CSGO tournament that will see three teams from each country – China, Russia and the UK – will take place next month.
And the UK teams have just been confirmed. They are Caz eSports, FM-eSports and Fish123.
The WCA World Contest Championship features a $112,000 prize pool and will take place in Beijing from October 12th to 18th.
WCA shared this on its Facebook page:
It’s understood that the UK teams have been invited to take part in this tournament – there wasn’t a UK qualifier.
However, eSports News UK understands Fish123 may not be able to make it – and Team EndPoint may be replacing them.
Teams will recieve prize money for every map they win, with the overall winning nation receiving $40,000 and the runner-up taking home $6,000.
The nations’ prize pool is around $46,000 while the teams will have $66,000 up for grabs.
The tournament is a joint project between UCC, World Cyber Arena and Gfinity.
You can read more about the event over on HLTV.
