UK eSports organisation VATIC have signed a new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team.
The roster contains two players from the Enemies in Disbelief side, who finished fourth in the recent i58 CSGO tournament. The news was confirmed on the VATIC website.
The team is as follows:
- James “fisher” Fisher
- Logan “logzi” King
- Josh “JDD” Denham
- Dudley “Dudley” Morris
- Aiden “s0x” MacLean
VATIC will take part in the ESEA Main and the ESL Open League tournaments among others, as well as epic.LAN next month.
eSports News UK understands that for the first three games on ESEA Main, the team will have to play with two players from the previous line-up, so they likely won’t be able to take part as a complete five for at least one more game.
The news comes after VATIC narrowly missed out on acquiring Orgles5, who were instead picked up by Team EndPoint.
“Our intent as an organisation is to further ourselves and our brand within the UK.”
VATIC eSports manager Mark “Cross” Cross commented on the new roster: “Our goal was to select a UK-based team packed with talented players who have plenty of room to develop as a unit, and we were spoilt for choice from the approaches we received.
“After some careful consideration, the decision for who would represent us next was unanimous between myself and Matt [Litherland], and we hope that the players, the support that we are able to provide them, and the VATIC organisation as a whole will follow an upward trend over the coming months.”
VATIC also added in a statement that they are working on building an online store which will go live this winter, stocking Xtrfy, DRKN and VATIC merchandise exclusively for the UK.
“We intend to open the store and test the water before deciding whether or not to make the update a permanent one,” the org said.
“Our intent as an organisation is to further ourselves and our brand within the UK. We are focused on promoting the growth of eSports here in the UK so that we can provide a platform for players that they and ourselves may grow with.”
