Well-known UK League of Legends pros Barney “Alphari” Morris (left) and Matt “Impaler” Taylor (right) could soon find themselves playing in the European Challenger Series Spring Playoffs.
The pair – who currently play for the Renegades Banditos in the ESL UK Premiership – are on Team Huma’s radar.
Huma want to bring in Impaler to replace their jungler Lucas “Santorin” Larsen, who has joined North American Challenger Series team Ember.
The Daily Dot also reports that Team Huma may bench their current top-laner Jorge “Werlyb” Casanovas and bring UK top-laner Alphari into the first-team line-up.
Alphari has confirmed to eSports News UK he is considering joining Team Huma.
Huma were caught up in some controversy last week – its manager, coach and analyst left the organisation over financial and other issues, including being paid late.
The Renegades Banditos formed earlier this year with a mix of UK players, but failed to qualify for the EU Challenger Series. They ended up playing in the ESL UK Premiership instead, where they have won both of their first two matches.
Alphari played for Team Infused last season and could face his former teammate Maxlore if he joins Team Huma. Maxlore currently plays for Inspire Esports, who, along with Team Huma, have qualified for the EU Challenger Series Spring Playoffs.
