VCT London has completed its Swiss stage competition, with all eight teams now locked in for the Playoffs. It comes after a four day long Swiss stage, which saw various teams eliminated and promoted, and the already locked in Playoff teams then chose their opponents from the Swiss advances.

VCT London Masters playoff stage finalised
With the Playoffs completed, here are the following matches now scheduled to take place from June 12 onwards in VCT London:
- Paper Rex vs Leviathan on June 12 15:00 BST
- Team Heretics vs Vitality on June 12 18:00 BST
- EDG vs FUT on June 13 15:00 BST
- G2 vs XLG on June 13 18:00 BST
The matches show a few decent rivalries hitting already. Vitality and Heretics are EU rivals, once again locking in. It’s a rematch of the EU Stage 1 finals, which can kill your vibe if you’re one for international matchups, but a great storyline for that EU rivalry. Meanwhile, EU’s third seed, FUT Esports, with a full Turkish line-up goes World Cup mode, and faces off against a full Chinese line-up, EDG.
In other playoff ties,Ā Paper Rex face Leviathan. Paper Rex consists of largely South East Asia players, whereas Leviathan is predominantly LATAM, with a Brazilian core, Argentine and Chilean IGL.
Rounding off the playoff contests is G2 Esports’Ā full American squad, versus the mixed Chinese region team XLG featuring players from Russia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.
The teams will scrap it out for a chance to move through a Double Elimination playoff bracket, with the Lower Bracket matches due to take place on June 14. Round two of the upper bracket will take place on June 15 with the next lower bracket fixtures on the June 16,19, and 20. There will be one more UB match on June 19, before the Grand Finals on the 21st.
For our UK readers, there’s Benjamin āBenjyFishyā Fish starring in Heretics, EU’s number one seed heading into the event. NRG also featured another UK player, Georgio āKeikoā Sanasky, but his team were eliminated in the final rounds of the Swiss to FUT, the EU/Turkish representatives.Ā
