Oner extends with T1 until 2028

Mun ‘Oner’ Hyeon-jun has extended his deal with T1, extending his stay at the Korean organisation to at least 2028.

The Jungler adds two years to his contract, which already guaranteed his place in the organisation for the 2026 season.

Oner continues historic stay at T1

The Jungler has been a part of T1 for his entire professional career, graduating from T1 Academy and Rookies to make the senior roster in December 2020.

Oner joined the main roster in the same offseason as Ryu ‘Keria’ Min-seok and Choi ‘Zeus’ Woo-je, combining with Lee ‘Gumayusi’ Min-hyeong, who had joined the year before.

The rebuild sought to create a young and talented roster to support T1’s superstar, Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok. As they say, ‘the rest is history.’

ZOFGK, as they came to be known, returned the organisation to the very top of League of Legends, with Faker, Gumayusi, Keria, and Oner earning a historic threepeat at Worlds 2025.

Additionally, Oner has won Jungle of the Year at the LCK Awards four consecutive years in a row, most recently earning the 2025 honour at the 2025 LCK Awards on December 19.

Despite the departure of Zeus in 2024 and now Gumayusi in 2025, the combination of Faker, Keria, and Oner lives on now with Kim ‘Peyz‘ Su-hwan in the ADC position.

Peyz has made a fast start with T1, earning the MVP award in the offseason KeSPA Cup, where T1 triumphed over HLE, Gumayusi’s new team, in the Grand Final.

Yet Peyz has a long way to go to prove himself a worthy replacement for the Worlds 2025 MVP.

T1 provided the following statement regarding the extension:

“‘Oner’ has extended his contract with T1 until 2028! As he continues to shape T1’s history, we look forward to building an even brighter legacy together and thank our fans for their continued support.”

Oner later revealed that the extension was signed earlier in the year, but announced to coincide with the Jungler’s birthday.

While a birthday announcement, many T1 fans probably view it as a welcome early-Christmas gift, after T1 had lost two of its stars in recent years.

With Worlds’ motto being ‘Earn Your Legacy,’ the trio of threepeat winners have a legacy beyond doubt; however, Oner and his teammates will be hoping to continue their Worlds dominance and reassert themselves at MSI and in the LCK.

Despite their Worlds threepeat, T1 were beaten by Gen.G at MSI, losing LCK to Gen.G and HLE.
