Wolves Esports Part Ways With Satoshi as VCT CN Roster Overhaul Continues

Wolves Esports have officially parted ways with duelist Fei ‘Satoshi’ Zhixian after four months with the organisation, confirming what had become an increasingly inevitable split.
The 20-year-old departs without having featured in a single official VCT CN match, his game time limited to 12 maps across the OFF//SEASON and the China Evolution Series.
The Valorant roster change brings an end to a stint that never really found its footing, and moves Wolves further along a rebuild that has seen significant churn through the offseason.
A promising signing that never clicked on the main stage
Satoshi arrived at Wolves last November off the back of a strong run with Rare Atom, where he had earned recognition as part of the side that reached the Ascension CN grand final — eventually falling 3-0 to Dragon Ranger Gaming.
On paper, the pickup made sense for a Wolves side looking to inject fresh energy into their duelist pool.
His appearances under the Wolves banner, however, were largely difficult. At the TEN VALORANT Global Invitational 2025, a best-of-one against DRX produced one of the more alarming debut statistics you’ll see — a 0.06 VLR rating in what was a rough opening showing.
Performances against Team Heretics and NongshimRedForce followed a similar pattern, though he did show a flash of his ceiling in the rematch against Heretics, posting a 19/16/4 scoreline on Raze with a 1.08 VLR rating as the only Wolves player to finish with a positive K-D.
Outside that tournament, Satoshi also appeared at the China Esports Festival Super Champions Cup, where the team trialled him in off-role picks including Cypher and Astra.
The flexibility was notable, but the opportunities were far too scarce to build on.
Wolves push forward with R1ckLee and further additions
The writing was on the wall once Wolves pivoted to Bijan ‘qiutiaN’ Moeinzadeh ahead of the official season — and qiutiaN himself has since moved on to Nova Esports, underlining just how much flux the roster has been through.
In his place, Wolves have brought in Li ‘R1ckLee’ Xu, formerly of Weibo Gaming and 5FW, as the organisation continues to reshape its lineup.
According to reports from Sheep Esports, Wolves are also in advanced discussions to add autumN and glacier, suggesting the side is pushing towards a six-man model to give themselves greater tactical flexibility heading into VCT CN competition.
The wider Valorant esports landscape in 2026 has seen several regional rosters restructure significantly, and Wolves appear fully committed to that trend.
What’s next for Wolves Esports
This time last season, Wolves were in the middle of a remarkable run — third in VCT CN Stage 1, followed by a third-place finish at VALORANT Masters Toronto that caught the wider scene off guard. Recapturing that form is the clear target, and the current overhaul reflects the ambition to do exactly that.
As for Satoshi, no next destination has been confirmed.
The former Rare Atom duelist enters free agency with his Ascension pedigree intact and still only 20 years old — there is time to find the right environment to develop.
His exit from Wolves feels less like a verdict on his potential and more like a signing that simply ran out of runway before it could breathe.
