Eterna are the first-ever League of Legends Game Changers Rising (LGC) champions and will take home €5,000 (£4.3k) in prizes.
The team shocked tournament favourites G2 Hel 3-1 to win the first all-women’s LoL tournament run by Riot Games.
Eterna entered the tournament as one of the only non-partnered teams in the event, winning the Open Qualifier undefeated.
That incredible performance drew the attention of LTA Champions FlyQuest, who partnered with Eterna to support them in LoL Game Changers Rising.
The crown is ours.

The tournament also featured three LEC-partnered teams in G2 Hel, SK Avarosa and Vitality Rising Bees, who were directly invited.
G2 Hel were heavy favourites to win the entire tournament.
Earlier this year, G2 Hel made history as the first women’s team to qualify for a Tier 2 LoL esports league.
The team competed in the second tier of Spain’s regional leagues, the Circuito Tormenta, with a chance to earn promotion to the Superliga and compete for an EMEA Masters slot.

G2 Hel also won the Equal Esports Cup, one of the main qualification tournaments for LGC.
However, Eterna absolutely dominated their tough opposition, defeating G2 Hel for the second time in the tournament.
How Eterna’s historic LGC win happened

While it was a 3-1 win, it could have easily been a 3-0 as Eterna dominated.
Eterna stomped G2 Hel in the first two games, winning both around the 30-minute mark with 10k and 12k gold leads.
Eterna were on match point and were in the driver’s seat after finding early kills all over the map.
However, a few misplays allowed G2 Hel to come back and take control of the game.
Yet, Eterna still didn’t make it easy for their opponents as they won a late team fight and took Baron to almost make a dramatic comeback.
But G2 Hel were able to secure Infernal Soul and secure the game to keep their title hopes alive.

However, Eterna were just too good and defeated G2 Hel with clean macro play and strong team fighting.
All of Eterna had brilliant performances, but it was Slovakian botlaner Nova ‘Sea’ Jenčáková who caught the eye with a monstrous series.
Game 4 was looking close, but a clean ace around the 20-minute mark earned Eterna the win and the historic LGC trophy.

Despite their victory immortalising them in LoL history books, it’s unclear what the future holds for this Eterna team.
FlyQuest only committed to supporting the group for this tournament, and Riot hasn’t made any further LGC announcements yet.
Meanwhile, it’s been a difficult week for G2 LoL fans.
LEC champions G2 Esports were eliminated from LoL Worlds 2025 quarter-finals in a messy 3-1 loss to TES.
It was also indirect revenge for FlyQuest as their men’s LoL team lost a crucial Worlds game to G2 earlier in the tournament.
