Leaked new Pokémon Pocket features make shiny cards better

The huge Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Evolutions expansion releases soon and will bring major updates to the game.
After a year since its release, there are a lot of changes that Pokémon Pocket desperately needs and fans have been begging for.
Now, a mixture of DeNa announcements and leaks have revealed a lot of new improvements are coming to the game.
Including a new rule which makes shiny Pokémon less frustrating and a use for the mystery ‘Advance Tickets’ at last.
New Pokémon Pocket trading rules
For starters, trading is going to be overhauled.
A brand new feature called gifting will allow players to send cards up to four-diamond rarity (EX Pokémon) to friends for nothing in return.
Each player will only be able to receive one gift per day and it will be the first one sent to them.

Additionally, Pokémon Pocket players will now be able to trade cards in the latest expansion immediately.
With Mega Rising featuring three packs, players are going to need all the help they can get completing the collection.
And what’s especially exciting is that DeNa are removing most of the restrictions on what cards can be traded.
Now, cards all the way up to two-star rarity (rainbow rares and full-art trainers) will be tradeable. Even shiny cards can be traded.
The only cards that will remain untradeable are immersive cards (three-star), crown rares, and promo cards.
With this, the new type of tradeable cards will be pretty expensive with the Shinedust costs recently leaking.
EX shinies will be the most expensive, costing 30,000 Shinedust to trade while two-star cards will cost 25,000.

Shiny cards will now appear as surprise sixth cards in packs
One thing Pokémon Pocket players have complained about is how unsatisfying Shiny cards are in the game.
Finding one in a pack would be frustrating because players would think they were getting a rare card from the current expansion, only to find a version of an old card they likely already had.
To make this less annoying for regular players, a datamine has discovered that shiny cards will now have a chance to appear as an additional card.
Like baby cards, shiny cards have a rare chance (6.8%) to appear as an extra sixth card in a pack.
This will make them feel like a fun bonus without taking away cards from the expansion players actually want.
Pokémon Pocket finally has a use for mystery Advance Tickets
Since Pokémon Pocket released a year, every player was given a ‘Advance Ticket’ but its description said:
“This ticket cannot be used yet. Wait and see what it’s for!”
Well, DeNa has finally revealed that the tickets are going to be used for a lottery between the game’s playerbase.

A draw will be held between all players with advance tickets at 6am GMT on October 30th.
The 100 first-prize winners will receive 1,200 pack hourglasses aka enough for 1,000 packs.
Then, 10,000 players will be given 120 pack hourglasses.
But all players are given something as the rest will be given 24 pack hourglasses each.
Other new tickets are coming to Pokémon Pocket

In addition to this lottery, other tickets are soon coming to the game as a brand new currency.
Players will earn tickets by playing the game during each promo event.
Every 10 battles will give a player a grey ticket while every five wonderpicks will earn players green or pink tickets.
And there supoosedly will be an upcoming event that will allow players to get promo cards from previous events too.
A brand new shop will seemingly have all the old promo cards available at the cost of one ticket.

Other quality of life changes are coming to Pokémon Pocket which have been asked for by the community.
Though we also know Pokémon Pocket fans have an absurdly long wait with one highly requested not coming till summer 2026.
But for now, Pocket players can at least look forward to the ability to favourite packs onto their homescreen.
And in addition, DeNa is increasing the number of deck slots for each player up to 25, increasing the limit by five in total
Plus, Pokémon Pocket is finally increasing its level cap after players have been stuck at level 50 for a long time.
However, the increase is only by 10, taking the limit up to 60, which isn’t much but at least it’s something.
