Where is the Pokémon pop-up store?
The Pokémon pop-up shop will appear at The Cranbourne Boutique, located within the Natural History Museum from January 26 to March 22 2026.
What can you buy at the Pokémon pop-up store?
Pokémon has stated that the store will feature “apparel, stationery, a brand-new exclusive plush, and more.”
Additionally, all of the products listed above were “designed exclusively for the collaboration.”
Can the Pokémon pop-up store items be purchased online?
Yes, you can buy the Pokémon × Natural History Museum products from the online Natural History Museum shop starting January 2026.
“One per person”
Pokémon has seen a deluge of scalpers in recent years, owing to the highly lucrative online market for cards and limited-edition merchandise.
That activity has resulted in similar pop-up shops being essentially without stock quickly after opening due to scalpers buying large amounts for resale purposes.
To alleviate that threat, the Natural History Museum has stated on Twitter/X that it will operate a one-per-person-per-item system and will carefully control the ticketed crowd to ensure comfort for visitors.
Replying to a Twitter/X user, they stated, “We’re very aware of this and have measures in place to ensure everyone can have a safe, comfortable and enjoyable visit. Capacity and flow of visitors will be carefully managed with ticketed time slots, and products are limited to one per person.”
An evolutionary link
At the core of Pokémon’s messaging regarding the pop-up shop is that the Natural History Museum shares the theme of evolution with Pokémon.
“As Pokémon evolve, they can adapt to a new environment, and you may notice some similarities on your journey through the Museum.” Adding, “The halls guide you through the evolution and diversity of life on planet Earth—from prehistoric dinosaurs to the species we live alongside today.”
The environmental aspect of the Natural History Museum also seems central to the collaboration, with profits being donated to the NHM’s charity work.
Pokémon’s statement says, “All profits from purchases made in-store and online will support the Museum’s charitable mission, including the work of 400 scientists conducting research and finding solutions to the planetary emergency, like reversing biodiversity loss and resourcing the green economy.”
