This week’s patch sees the debut of League of Legends’ latest champion, Yunara.
As the seminal character of the Spirit Blossom event, all will soon be revealed with Yunara’s release
Meanwhile, patch 25.14 will also bring adjustments to a plethora of characters, including major changes to Kled.
Yunara releases on League of Legends
The newest champion to join the League of Legends (LoL) roster will make their debut on Patch 25.14.
Spirit Blossom Beyond has heavily featured XinZhao alongside Yunara in the lands of Ionia.
With the majority of Act 2 building up the story and hype for the champion’s release.
Yunara will be released on this patch as a powerful teamfight AD Carry.
Kled receives mini rework
Now that MSI has passed, Kled will be receiving some adjustments to all of his abilities.
Making this a somewhat mini rework ahead of the beginning of the Summer Split.
Riot Games has said that these changes are aimed at steering Kled towards a fighter and less effective with burst damage.
Across the board, Kled’s Attack Damage (AD) scalings have been reduced.
To compensate for this, his utility and Health scaling has been improved.
As an added bonus, the health regained upon Skaarl’s return is now given at the start of the animation.
Much to the delight of any Kled player.
Patch 25.14 champion balance highlights
Patch 25.14 brings a few changes that are seemingly a direct response to the recent Mid-Season Invitational.
Third or fourth game staples, such as Twisted Fate and Braum, have been nerfed.
While spamming Hauting Guise and supports being able to out smite junglers will be a thing of the past.
However, there are few changes coming this patch with the solo queue players in mind.
Firstly, Darius’ Decimate (Q) healing has been increased significantly when two or more targets are hit.
Meanwhile, Fizz will be hitting a lot harder as Seastone Trident (W) base cooldown is reduced.
His Playful/Trickster (E) will also do more damage since the Ability Power (AP) scaling has been increased.
Elsewhere, Zigg’s power has been shifted towards the late game as his main damage abilities have better AP scaling at later levels.
Other notable changes include:
- Azir’s soldiers scale better with AP at all levels.
- Fiora’s Grand Challenge (R) now does the full amount of healing no matter how many vitals were hit.
- Twisted Fate’s Wild Cards (Q) now have less base damage but retain their AP scaling.
- Yuumi’s Final Chapter (R) has reduced AP scaling when healing allies.
Other changes on Patch 25.12
As previously mentioned, spamming multiple Haunting Guises will be a thing of the past as the maximum players have in their inventory will be one.
Riot Games is also stamping out Unsealed Spellbook’s power with Smite, as the maximum damage will now be 900 true damage.
In response to this, Riot Games has buffed Guardian as an alternative.
However, it’s more likely that supports will switch back to the usual suspects.
Lastly, items for AD Carries have been buffed to offer alternatives from a stale itemisation pool.
Blade of the Ruined King, Kraken Slayer, and Phantom Dancer have all seen improvements, but its unclear if it’ll be enough to entice players away from the status quo.
