The Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC) has announced the location for its Summer Grand Finals as Stockholm, Sweden.
Alongside the Grand Finals, there will also be guest musical performances and an exhibition, similar to the recent Leagues Disrupt at the start of this month.
So far little has been revealed outside of the NLC Summer Finals taking place on August 30th, in Stockholm, Sweden, with tickets starting from €20 (~£17)
Leagues Disrupt heads to Stockholm Sweden
The capital of Sweden will be the next host of the NLC Finals, and is no stranger to esports events.
Having hosted the legendary EU LCS (now LEC) Summer Finals in 2015.
This time, local fans will have much to cheer for, as many of the top NLC feature Swedes on their roster.
Additional roster changes may also come into play to add more Swedes than ever before.
Once again, Leagues Disrupt will feature local musical talent.
From the home country of ABBA, there might be a pop band featured.
However, the country has since become known for its heavy metal scene.
The final location for the event is yet to be announced.
However, a return to the Avicii Arena would see fans delighted.
Formerly known as the Stockholm Globe Arena, it was the location of Carl ‘Rekkles’ Larsson’s most famous pentakill.
Now playing as support for Los Ratones, the team are favourites to attend, having recently won consecutive EMEA Masters.
Leagues Disrupt in Stockholm is set to take place on August 30th.
The precise venue location to be announced at a later date.
NLC 2025 Summer
While there is no set date for the return of the NLC, it’s likely that NLC 2025 Summer will start early next month.
The tournament will then build up to the Grand Final at Leagues Disrupt in Stockholm.
Once again, teams will face off against each other in the Summer Seeding.
Two groups of five teams will compete against each other in a single round robin.
The top four teams will enter the Playoffs in the upper bracket, while the bottom team will start from behind in the lower bracket.
All matches throughout the playoffs will be a best-of-five, except for the upper bracket quarterfinals and semifinals.
Fearless draft will also return for another season of pushing players to the edge of their champion pools.
EMEA Masters Summer
NLC 2025 Summer finalists will qualify for the last EMEA Masters of the year.
Defending NLC Spring champions and EMEA Masters champions, Los Ratones, will look to retain both titles coming into the Summer season.
The team will look to challenge Karmine Corp’s record of three consecutive EMEA Masters titles.
Los Ratones have been a dominant force since their inception and look on track to match this record.
However, the team’s future beyond this year remains uncertain, as the LEC remains blocked behind one almighty paywall.
