LCK teases online limited series LOLScape: The Game

The official League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) YouTube channel has teased its latest limited content series called LOLScape: The Game.

Participants will have to try and solve the puzzles and complete the tasks to escape the Spirit Blossom-themed rooms.

The series will feature Joo ‘Duro’ Min-kyu, Lee ‘CloudTemplar’ Hyun-woo, Shin ‘Helios’ Dong-jin, Yoo Tae-yang (Horse King), and Woo Jung-ing (Friendshiping).

LOLScape: The Game

The series will see the five participants complete a series of challenges set in the world of League of Legends (LoL).

From the looks of the teaser to the title card design, it’s clear to see that the Spirit Blossom event is the main focus.

As stated in the teaser, the participants will embody ‘one of the champions’ to face the world of LoL.

They appear to follow Xin Zhao’s path through Ionia to eventually connect with Yunara, with Xin Zhao’s spear being the most obvious clue.

Other easter eggs include statues of Spirit Blossom Ashe, the Demacian crest, and the outfit that Xin Zhao wore throughout the cinematic.

During the teaser, we also see the participants face a series of puzzles in order to progress into the next area.

It appears that there will be three main settings for the participants to explore.

Xin Zhao’s room, an Ionian settlement, and what may be a shrine, deep in the Ionian forest.

The series is set to premiere on Monday, June 30th, on the LCK Global and Korean YouTube channels.

Meet the participants

The main feature of the five participants is Gen.G Esports’ support player Duro.

Having passed through the first qualification match in the LCK Road to MSI, it seems the player had enough time on his hands.

Joining him are LCK Korea hosts CloudTemplar and Helios, who’ve been mainstays on the Korean broadcast.

In addition to the LCK regulars, two content creators will be joining the adventure.

First is the fitness content creator known as Horse King, Yoo Tae-yang.

The content creator was featured on the front cover of MAXIM Korea last year, despite his contentious personality.

Last to join is Woo Jung-ing, who is known for their online content creation and music under the channel name Friendshiping.

As a popular online personality in South Korea, they’ve featured on many online game show-style series.
