Los Ratones has defeated Nord Esports at EMEA Masters, in a rematch of the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC) Spring Finals.
The team owned by British streamer Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont repeated history after winning the series 3-0.
Their next opponent will be Turkish, BoostGate Esports, with British AD Carry player, Lim ‘ToongE’ Ho-seon.
After defeating Barça eSports in the lower bracket of their group, Los Ratones were set to rematch Nord Esports at EMEA Masters.
Much to Nord Esports’ dismay since they were on the losing end of the matchup during the finals.
Last time, Los Ratones defeated Nord Esports with a clean 3-0 series at the NLC 2025 Spring Finals.
The Round 16 at the EMEA Masters Knockout Stage would be another best-of-five between the two rivals, this time without fearless draft.
Adding to this, Caedrel was extremely confident facing Nord Esports.
Going as far as wanting to face the team in the first round of the Knockout Stage.
In response to this, Nord Esports midlaner Frederik ‘NoWay’ Hinteregger said:
So Caedrel says he wants us and gets us?
Frederik ‘NoWay’ Hinteregger
Always a pleasure to play against LR, although our record is really bad into them.
Would have loved to see us play and grow against different regions.
The first game would end as quickly as it started, with Los Ratones swiftly taking the win.
Utilising an extremely potent mix of pick potential and semi-global ultimates, Los Ratones were able to build upon every pick they secured.
Nord Esports were unable to come back into the game, as each pick would turn into an unwanted skirmish.
Eventually losing the game with an almost 16k gold deficit.
Nord Esports didn’t fare much better in the second game despite building a strong team composition.
NoWay disrupted Los Ratones with his signature Xerath, however, the team had prepared for this.
Ultimately, it was the Los Ratones jungler, Veljko ‘Velja’ Čamdžić, who built an advantage for the team to help them secure the game.
The third match saw Nord Esports pick up Sion to deny Simon ‘Baus’ Hofverberg his signature pick.
However, it was Tim ‘Nemesis’ Lipovšek who became the star of the game with his pocket pick of Vladimir.
Leading to Los Ratones taking the game and the series with a clean sweep of 3-0.
Los Ratones move on to the Quarterfinals of EMEA Masters, where they’ll face BoostGate Esports.
The match is set to kick off on Monday, June 16th, at 4pm BST.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the bracket, Spanish-British esports team GiantX will face Gentle Mates on Saturday at 4pm BST.
GiantX will compete for their place in the Quarterfinals and their chance to progress through the tournament.
With this victory, the defending EMEA Masters champions are looking strong going into the final few matches of the tournament.
Cementing themselves as the favourites to secure back-to-back EMEA Masters titles.
This would make them the second ever team to do so, after French-based Karmine Corp, who would later buy a slot in the main League of Legends EMEA Championship.
