Esports analytics provider Esports Charts has extended its long-term partnership with Brazilian organisation FURIA through 2027.
Financial terms have not been revealed for the extension of the deal, which started back in 2021.
The expanded partnership now uniquely stretches Esports Charts’ coverage from esports into traditional sports.
Esports Charts will now cover FURIA’s participation in the Kings League football tournaments across multiple events, including the Kings World Cup and Kings League Brazil.
The Kings League is a seven-a-side football franchise with leagues around the world, including Italy, Brazil, France, and Germany.
Its success inspired the creation of the new six-a-side ‘Baller League’ football competition which is currently airing on Sky Sports in the UK.
YouTuber and Sidemen member JJ ‘KSI’ Olatunji is president of the UK version, which is commentated by English esports caster Brandon Smith.
The Kings League started in Spain and was founded by Spanish streamer Ibai ‘Ibai’ Lanos and former Barcelona and Manchester United defender Gerard Piqué.
The duo are also partial owners of LEC Spring 2025 winners Movistar KOI. Organisations KOI and Movistar Raiders were acquired by Canadian esports and entertainment organisation Overactive Media.
Esports organisation FURIA also have football ties with iconic Brazilian footballer Neymar, who acts as one of the club’s presidents.
The Kings League, with its wide variety of content creators and influencers, offers additional exposure to the esports team.
This is something G2 Esports have looked to take advantage of too, creating their own football team for the German division of the Kings League.
The value of this new exposure is something Furia’s Chief Technology Officer wants to track with the help of Esports Charts:
“Renewing our partnership with Esports Charts is strategic for FURIA.
“Having access to reliable, real-time data allows us to make quick, assertive decisions, better understand our audience’s behaviour and deliver more value to our athletes, fans and partners.
“Expanding this analysis to soccer, especially with the Kings League, is a natural step in our vision of integrating technology, performance and entertainment on all fronts where we operate.”
Meanwhile, Esports Charts’ co-founder and CEO, Artyom Odintsov, says he’s excited for the company’s new venture:
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with FURIA and expand our coverage into the exciting world of media football.
“FURIA has been a valued partner since 2021, and we are excited to support their continued growth and success in both esports and new ventures like the Kings League.”
In my seven years of esports writing, I’ve introuduced esports coverage to newspapers, interviewed some of the biggest names in the industry, and driven viewers mad with the puns in my YouTube scripts. I’m most proud of the latter.
