What you need to know for NLC Spring Finals and Leagues Disrupt

The Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC) Finals are set to take place this weekend with a slight change since the Winter Finals in Nottingham.

The Spring Finals will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, featuring British teams Los Ratones and Ruddy Sack vying to face Nord Esports in the Grand Final this Sunday.

Alongside the matches will be the Leagues Disrupt convention featuring live music performances, an interactive exhibition area, and community meetups.

NLC 2025 Spring Finals

Across the weekend, the best that Europe has to offer will compete against each other in a best-of-five fearless draft to determine the NLC Champion.

The team with all the attention is Los Ratones, owned by British streamer Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont.

Formed by some of the biggest personalities in the NLC, they’ve proven to be a popular squad thanks to their publicly streamed practice and scrim sessions.

So far, they’ve taken the scene by storm with their non-typical champion picks alongside streaming every step of their journey.

Opposing them on Saturday is the fellow British team, Ruddy Sack.

The team has continued to push out content like no other and gained global attention, thanks to co-owner Jake ‘DonJake’ Morley, aka Mr Make It Happen.

Ruddy Sack is no slouch competitively either, with their previous NLC finals appearances in all of 2024 and winning i72 at the NEC in Birmingham.

The team is backed by former pro player, now popular streamer Christian ‘IWDominate’ Rivera, and coached by League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) veteran, Jakob ‘YamatoCannon’ Mebdi.

Making them a force to be reckoned with in the NLC and a team to be feared.

Waiting for them in the Grand Final is Nord Esports.

One of only two teams to beat Los Ratones in an official competitive series, Nord Esports head into this weekend as the number one seed.

As a Scandinavian esports organisation, the team will be the home heroes going into the weekend.

The team features British veteran Matthew ‘xMatty’ Coombs, alongside other established veterans like Tamás ‘Vizicsacsi’ Kiss and Marcin ‘Jankos’ Jankowski.

Nord Esports have been on a dominant win streak throughout the playoffs, having defeated every team on their way to secure their place in the Grand Final.

The NLC 2025 Spring Finals will kick off on Saturday, May 31st, as Los Ratones will face Ruddy Sack at 10am (BST).

The winner will proceed to the Grand Final to go up against Nord Esports on Sunday, June 1st, also at 10am (BST).

Leagues Disrupt in Copenhagen

The central event around the NLC 2025 Spring Finals is the newest convention Leagues Disrupt, solely focused on League of Legends (LoL).

Tickets for Leagues Disrupt have been flying as few one-day tickets are left, according to the official ticketing website, alongside free seating weekend tickets being completely sold out.

Doors open at 9:30am local time (CEST) each day and promise a day of fun activities for attendees to enjoy.

Leagues Disrupt will feature live performances before and in between games at the NLC Spring Finals.

Saturday will feature the Danish Rap/Hiphop group Hunnid22, who are set to take the stage at 9:45am (BST) before the Los Ratones vs Ruddy Sack match.

During the match will be a halftime show, slated for 12:10pm (BST), roughly after the first or second game, with the featured act yet to be revealed.

Sunday’s opening act will be Danish Drum & Bass DJ, Redemptive, who produced the NLC theme song ‘Saga’ featuring Brazilian singer Maddy.

The set will begin a little earlier at 9:40am (BST) ahead of the Grand Finals.

The halftime show at 12:10am (BST) will showcase Danish duo ROYA. The pair are known for their Nordic melancholy, pop-inspired house music.

In addition to the matches and live performances, Leagues Disrupt will also feature giveaways and mini-games for fans to enjoy.
