Minecraft Legends Deluxe Edition buyers who get the title from GAME will see the retailer plant a tree for each copy sold – up to a maximum of 2,000.
The retailer is teaming up with Microsoft and doing good for gamers and the planet this April, with this week’s release of the Minecraft Legends Deluxe Edition for Xbox Series X and Xbox One.
For every copy sold through GAME, from April 18th 2023 through to April 24th 2023, GAME will plant a tree via One Tree Planted, a non-profit organisation focused on global reforestation.
Whether it’s via the retailer’s website or in stores, gamers who purchase the game in that time period will have a tree planted on their behalf.
“Minecraft is a franchise that just keeps giving, so it seems only right that we in retail do our fair share of giving also, and we’re committed to doing good for the community, the planet and of course our customers as we hope to be able to plant up to two thousand trees.”

Since 2014, One Tree Planted has more than doubled the number of trees planted each year, working with partners across more than 80 countries and planting more than 92.7m trees to date. One Tree Planted is dedicated to making it easier for both individuals and businesses to give back to the environment, helping in reforestation efforts and creating a healthier climate while protecting biodiversity.
The news comes one year after UK League of Legends esports organisations began planting trees in real life based on their teams’ in-game performances.

Those who pre-order will also receive the GAME exclusive premium sticker sheet.
The deluxe edition features six additional in-game skins: one hero, four mounts and an additional mount skin when it becomes available.
A blurb from a press release reads as follows; “Minecraft Legends invites gamers to experience an epic legend from within the Minecraft universe, the likes of which have never been seen before!
“Defend the Overworld from the fierce Piglins, forming alliances with new friends and familiar faces as you challenge your friends or team up together to defend your village and lead your units to destroy your opponents’ settlements.”
