The 12 CSGO teams set to take part in the ESL Prem Autumn 2022 UK and Ireland tournament have been confirmed following promotions this weekend.
1Pin and Xravel qualified on October 8th 2022, while Legates Esports and If I Speak secured their way into the Prem today (October 9th).
These four teams will join the eight teams from the Spring ESL Prem taking part in the Autumn 2022 tournament: Endpoint, Into the Breach, Blvkhvnd, SOS, Temperate, Team 7AM, Lucent Esports (an org we recently interviewed) and Royals.
Legates Esports also announced today that UK caster John ‘JohnPee’ Pritchard has joined the organisation as their new community manager.
In this weekend’s promotions matches, 1Pin beat Legates and Lizards to progress, while Legates defeated Grannys Knockers and NeverBrokeAgain to qualify. Xravel picked up wins over Ionic and NeverBrokeAgain; If I Speak defeated Ionic and Lizards.
ReTr00 and Ne0kai were on casting duties in today’s matches, while Zola and Charlie Drudge handled yesterday’s matches on the ESL UK Twitch channel broadcast.
In terms of casters for the upcoming ESL Prem Autumn season, they are the following, featuring recent University of Chichester esports graduates Alfred ‘ZolaSMH’ and Charlie ‘Cmd64’ Drudge:
Current Prem champions Endpoint secured their ninth ESL Prem title after winning the CSGO Spring 2022 final back in April, and will be looking to hold onto their top spot.
Endpoint beat Into the Breach 3-1 in that final, while Blvkhvnd and Fambit finished third and fourth respectively.
Endpoint then progressed through the ESL Pro League Conference Season 16 to reach the ESL Pro League, but had a tough group stage and failed to get out of groups. However, they did beat Navi which was one for the UK CSGO history books.
The ESL UK CSGO Premiership features a £15,000 prize pool and is a mainstay of the grassroots UK & Ireland esports scene, having been around for more than seven years now.
