Z League, the world’s first skill-based esports tournament platform targeted at casual gamers, has announced a casual League of Legends (LoL) tournament which is taking place this weekend.
It kicks off on Saturday July 30th 2022 at 8pm ET (July 31st 1am BST), features a $2,500 prize pool and is free to enter.
The Summoner’s Rift Normals: League Launch Win Streak Duos encourages teams to win as many matches as they can before losing three. It consists of five divisions, with $500 in prizing available in each.
The first 500 players to sign up will get 2,000 credits after the LoL week is over, and will be entered into a draw for one of five $100 Riot gift cards.
Participants will also get an exclusive League of Legends OG tag on Discord, as well as 50% off promo codes for a future tournament entry.
Players will also receive 1,500 credits for each Z League referral, and earn 200 credits for showing up.

There will also be a daily giveaway, with players entered into a draw to win goodies like a coaching gift card for Metafy.gg and a Logitech G733 KDA Gaming Headset.
Z League said: “No brackets, no smurfing, and flexible scheduling. Skill-ranked divisions give everyone a fair shot at victory. You’ll only ever compete against players or teams who match your skill level in LoL.”
League of Legends tournaments join other Z League titles including Warzone (which had a Z League $50,000 tournament earlier this year), Apex Legends and Halo Infinite.
Z League also hosts daily tournaments all day, every day, that are free or paid to enter where you can win cash, prizes and credits.
You can also learn more about the promos, giveaways and $2,500 LoL prize pool event on the Z League website.
