Irish esports organisation Nativz Gaming and sports kit brand Umbro (Ireland) have today announced a multi-year partnership.
Umbro has become Nativz’ official technical kit partner, and the pair have announced an Umbro Nativz jersey which is available for pre-orders now for delivery in early February. It’s priced at €55.01 for adults and €42 for juniors.
Umbro will provide a performance shirt and apparel items for the Nativz first team, academy team and their supporting content creators.
The Nativz teams are currently preparing to enter Division 2 (first team) and Division 4 (academy team) of the restructured Northern Europe League of Legends (NLC) competitions.
Established in May 2021, Nativz Gaming is an Irish LoL org that re-signed their coaching staff in August after a strong performance in Telia Esports Series Denmark, and their owners announced an NFT deal with Irish streamer Bosch Merchant.
Jonathan Courtenay, MD of JACC Sports, the Irish licensee for Umbro, commented: “As the gaming world evolves and support for esports grows it is important for the Umbro brand to be at the forefront of cutting edge partnerships, with this in mind Umbro Ireland were delighted to enter a deal with Nativz.
“We look forward to working with the team over the coming years to offer players and esports fans alike some really distinctive and unique product designs.”
Kurt Pittman, Nativz Gaming Ltd co-founder and director, commented: “We’re really pleased that Jonathan and Patrick could see the potential of Nativz despite us being so young as an organisation. The support they’ve shown for us is amazing and we thank them very much.
“Our objective is on putting in place the foundations for a focused and professional group of young talented League of Legends players. Bringing partners like Umbro into our team make this process of creating a professional environment for them to succeed so much easier.”
Update (February 7th 2022): Nativz have signed an agreement with coral reef sustainability business, ALotMeant.com, brokered by Halfspace Group. The website will become the official environmental partner of Nativz.
Nativz have released a membership via an NFT key, with a percentage of each purchase going towards recovering and re-planting more coral in the world’s oceans, as part of their efforts in supporting sustainability targets.
An NFT, or non-fungible token, is a unique digital asset (usually an image or a piece of digital art), with the buyer receiving a digital receipt saying they own it. NFTs can be bought and owned and re-sold, usually for cryptocurrency.
Based out of a dive-school on the Thai island of Koh Tao, ALotMeant.com was founded to preserve coral reefs and help support all local communities that depend on them.
